Before up gradation, removal of any post never affected thanks count. Now, thanks will be removed with the deletion of post or thread and this has also collectively removed thanks of previously removed posts and threads. Of course "thanks" doesn't make any sense when the post isn't there at all.

There is nothing technical about it and the thanks cannot be restored. If someone is removing thanks, we have no authority to stop that member. Most probably, posts are removed that has decreased thanks count.

If someone wants to remove all his thanks in one go for a particular member. Is it possibe ? Or he has to remove one by one. And what is expiray period to remove the thanks?

One has to remove them one by one. There is no expiry date.

No dear Queen this is not the case actually. A member has removed his thanks. And I'm saying this on the basis of the fact that accidentally I was online in the noon when I noticed that my thanks has been removed by someone. Then while I posted in someother thread, to my astonishment, I noticed that other members' thanks count has also decreased. This gave air to my investigative senses and I readily "caught " who was doing this. Then I continued observing that member throughout that "cleanup operation". So the thanks haven't been removed by any deletion of the posts or threads rather it is for the reason that they have been taken back.

Thanks to my investigative senses!

What is logic behind the option of "Removing a Thanks" ? When a member likes the posting he says thanks and when he thanked, then removing the thank is illogical. This option "Removing the Thanks" may be removed.
