VR is the return of the amount of corruption charges before the case is opened or before the legal procession.

PB is the return of the amount of corruption charges after the case has opened. The amount of PB is decided by the NAB officials, economy and legal experts (PB Committee) with due approval of Chairman NAB.

VR, Volunteer return is offered to the accused in inquiry stage, if he return the amount, he will not loos his job.
PB, Plea bargain is offered to the accused in investigation stage. in case of PB, accused is ineligible for ten years to any job, politics.

  • 15% fine on top of corruption amount needs to be paid.
  • Accused avoids jail time by paying corruption amount and fine.
  • Sometimes not enough prosecutable evidence against the accused so Plea bargain than becomes a good option for the bureau and the national exchequer
