well i did nt get any call letter from NAB bt i contacted a friend of mine who is serving in NAB as AD for last 5 years or so. He told me three things.

1. Selection will base upon written result only and psychological is only relevant for suitability clause. So all those lucky who have escaped from suitability clause will be eligible for competition.

2. Academic record will not also be considered and only determination for final merit list will be written result.

3. Since meritarian criteria is written test only therefore only those persons who scored at least 70% marks in written test will be issued call letters as only 15% of written qualifiers going to b called for intw.

Keeping in mind above mentioned criteria i have reached my destination as my marks are below 70 in written, therefore m out of race.
According to EOI given by NAB on its web site, there are 367 candidates from grade 16 to 17 for which arrangement are being done for training at Islamabad and in the total seats punjab's quota of AD is almost 60 seats.

NAB calls 3 to 5 candidates/seat for interview so 180 to 300 candidates must be called for interview if NAB is going to recruit as per EOI or Original advertisement and there are not enough candidates above 70% from Punjab.

But if NAB has changed its recruitment plan and going to fill only 15% of the seats then it seems plausible to only call for candidates who are above 70 and in this case there must be 30 to 40 candidates to fill almost 10 seats.

It does not seem because of the EOI that NAB has reduced the # of seats but every think is possible because as per the clause given in the advertisement NAB can increase or decrease the total # of seats.

Lets dears see with patience what happens in the end.
i got a call fro NAB to submit my domicile yesterday.i dont know why its taking so much time..its been a year n we all are still keep on waiting.
Today I received a call from NAB HQ. They asked for my domicile. In response I said i submitted it on Aug 4th before taking the psychological test. He said we havn't received it and you better courier it today. I asked when will result be finalized and the shortlisting of candidates for interview. He replied it will be done very soon but you first submit your domicile.
how did they set bench mark as 70% there are very possibilities that candidates from certain area or certain group havent achived 70% marks. BTW am from GB and i got a call today from NAB asking for Domicile. I think i have made it through the test process and i will get an interview call inshallah why else would they ask for domicile if they aint goina call me for the interview
AoA to everyone out there.

@ Khurram Khokhar
Dear I understand the value of Psychological Test and why NAB have taken measure of conducting this test. The post that you referred is not exactly the answer of what is being asked . I inquired a very simple question that how do you say candidates with 70% will be called only and if there is not enough lot of the specified candidates is available then what will they do next ?? the other thing I asked about the NAB's Suitability Clause which is not known to anyone atleast I haven't heard of it before. I guess this is some kind of job profile to which they will match the competency and personality of the candidates.

@ All
Can anybody explain the Suitability Clause of NAB ??

To understand the "Suitability Clause of NAB" we must understand what is Psychology?

The shortest answers found by googling are:

1.The scientific study of the human mind and its functions, esp. those affecting behavior in a given context.
2.The mental characteristics or attitude of a person or group.

But for Personality, following sites may help:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personality_psychology
http://psychology.about.com/od/overviewofpersonality/a/persondef.htm

Now based on the Definition of Psychology and Personality one can easily conclude that "Suitability clause of NAB" tells us that it is a highest measure of a candidate's selection criteria in an organization like NAB. This means if one gets a predefined level in the psychological test will be considered for the posts in NAB and others, who have been unable in getting the desired level are NOT-considered (Failed in other words.)

It simple as that.

@ash90

Thank you for your reply. Actually I am not asking the literal meaning of "Suitability clause". I have already given my opinion in the last post that this is similar to something which is called job profiling or matching to personality matrix. In point of fact, I am more concerned about digging the information that what sort of personality NAB considers for posts published.

@ All ::: Does anyone from Sindh got call from NAB ??

Well this is bit tricky. I do not want to dig deep into this as it is purely up to the Discretionary Powers of Competent Authority.

So, yup your question has a lot of depth ... Difficult to Answer.

Hope for the best.

MYG2010 Tuesday, September 25, 2012 07:43 PM

Well, you are quite right that my question is really a difficult one to answer. I floated this question for those members who have informants working in NAB, they can confirm them about What actually NAB is seeking for ? i mean the traits & values of a personality. This will definitely help later at the stage when one will present himself/herself before the interviewers
