I am currently working as a permanent employee in a Semi Govt organization in BPS-17. I have been offered BPS-18 in NAB. I was trying to get Leave Without Pay for one year for the duration of the probation period.

But I am facing problems in getting Leave Without Pay from my current employer? As the last resort i would have to resign from a permanent job.

What are other candidates doing who are also working in some govt organization ?

Dear, if you had applied through proper channel, then simply get relieved of from your present office. And if not, you may apply for ex-post facto approval to apply through proper channel. As per FR-13, you may acquire your lien in the present organization for two years, when you move to a temporary post.

Mr. Zia,

My statement means that IF you don't reside in a capital city and can't go for a medical test THEN you can have it conducted in Islamabad after your joining. BUT it has a serious drawback and that is we have a medical board in islamabad every tuesday, whereas there's no tuesday between the date of our joining i.e. Mar 6, and the date of commencement of our training. i.e. Mar 11.

So the only option left is to get done with the medical before our joining. It was some kind of misunderstanding on Mr. Asif's part that was later on cleared by Mr. Mujahid.

Respected members who have appeared before the medical board last week (in islamabad) kindly share your experience.

What kind of fitness level is required?
Is the panel/board strict or lenient in issuing fitness certificate?
And is there anybody who got rejected by the board?
