I reques all seniors to help me to reslovle my problem.

My problem is this

i am selected as Assistant Director Anti- narcotics Force BS-17 and currently on training at ANF Acadamy. I am also selected in FIA as Inspector(INVESTIGATION) BS-16.

Please guide me in light of ur experiences that which job is better. my domicile is from punjab.

Shahid bhai congrates on your success . I also appeared in ANF interviews but i was not selected .
In my view Grade 17 is much better than grade 16 . After 2 years experience u will again eligible for grade 18 jobs .Know try for grade 18 not grade 16 lol

Did you appear in AD FIA exams ??

congrats u hve been selected for the post of AD in 17 grade. you will become AD FIA after many years (may be 15 years) if u join inspector. i suggest you to join ANF it is also a federal force having equal prestige like FIA.

Dear u have qualified for grade 17 anf nd for inspector in fia for some pple fia grade 16 is very lucarative job bt grade 17 job is far better than 16 nd by the way narcotics is not a bad deptt too nd u can also switch to fia on deputatiön after completion of ur probhition period nd any federal or provincial dept by applying some source so stick to A.d anf job

brother, now doubt 17 is better then 16 but i think that FIA is a organized and better department then ANF. if u r on training i guess you are watching the functions of AD ANF and futher u will see when u wl post out in some other ANF office u wl see that there are many hurdeles and limited scope, my friend is also in ANF so i have knowledge abt deptt. and every on is not lucky like u have two options. in my point of view FIA is 100 time better then ANF and u will see soon.

I strongly disagree theres no comparison between grade 16 nd 17 see urself after 10 or 20 yrs .in my opinion anf is better they hav their own police station.etc

Many thanx for positive input forwarded by respected members . However, one thing which i want to share with all of u is that Anf is organised by Army at higher level and these Army people always have some kind of trust deficit towards Civilian. I have met both DGs FIA as well as ANF. DG FIA Tariq khosa was quite friendly and people of FIA were open and frank whereas DG ANF being an Army General was quite stubborn. It is quite difficult, even for an Assistant Director to access him and discuss about his problems and other issues.

I do hope in light of above mentioned facts u people will send a sincere advice to me

If it is so than it is pethatic . Self respect is your assest and really lose it . Once it is gone than everyone ll going to treat you like DG and DD bla bla .

In my previous mail i was tailin you to keep in ANF . i also asked Gujjer saab my cousine ( joint Director ANF ) They insult and mistreat ADs .

Now it is up to you choose self respect or live with honour . FIA afterall is a good dept .

its completely wrong perception that JDs insult and mistreat ADs in ANF. I have been in this deptt and so far my experience has been so good. they treat us like an officer. we are not their servants but govt of pakistan. for ur kind info not even DG can suspend any AD. C if u are involved in any case of misconduct or u have done any irregularity then u are bound to face humiliation from anyone in the deptt:, even ur DD will reprimand u. The professional jealousy plays its part here...army personnel think that they are perfect and the civilians are here to make money but it depends on officer to officer....i have been treated here excellently from my Senior officers ( Civilians or Military) bcoz my performance was up-to the mark. I have enjoyed my duty here..we have gud facilities...tell me which Ex Cadre deptt gives u 4 wheel drive vehicles in Grade 17 wid driver and unlimited fuel but ANF does. We are head of the Police Stations and the jurisdiction is above ur imagination. there are two divisions in each Police Sations Jurisdiction. Our senior Officers are from Army and this very thing gives us edge over other deptts....no one can even raise his finger at us if we are doing our work according to law. Well its everybody's own choice and no one can thrust his choice on others. its time for we people to change our perception about some good departments.
