Wait till psychological test and if you will be quite sure that you will be shortlisted then go through the surgery, it will heal up in 10 days max. I had also undergone this surgery last august 2014. And If you will also clear the Interview then you can ask them to give you CMB date later so you can undergone through DNS surgery.

Thanks bro. But the I&SC said that you cannot go for first panel interview having temporary unfit status You must clear before it.

If they said so then go after psychological test, it is better option. Even-though for a normal life its better to undergone through surgery.

I appeared for initial test today at karachi center for IT and passed successfully.This forum has been a great help so I will try to give something back by giving a detailed overview of the test to other people who are appearing at karachi center.

Steps before tests and environment
NOTE: If you are appearing for IT branch, don't forget to bring an experienced certificate of 2 or more years of experience. I know, it is not mentioned anywhere to bring the letter, but you MUST. Or you will have to take the test again on any other day.


1 - When you reach the selection center, you will get a locker to leave your cell phone. so dont worry.
2- Then, go towards test area and try to sit at the front as the verification of documents will be done one by one as per sitting arrangement. Or else, you will wait for hours.
3- Once the verification is complete..go to the next counter for picture.
4- Then, you will have to wait till someone calls you for the test.
5- When you enter the examination hall, you will be instructed to take a seat infront of a pc. There will be a fixed little whiteboard on your desk where you can do the rough work.
6- If you passed the test, you will be directed to medical office for taking your initial medical test date from medical office.

Intelligence Test

1- TIME IS MOST IMPORTANT part of this test. Don't take this suggestion lightly as I did and found myself in trouble when I was left with 10 minutes and 50 questions left. I had to make quick decisions in the last 10 minutes to pick the right answers to try the best guess. Don't leave any questions! If you don't know the answer, just pick any as there is no negative marking.

2- Most of the questions were NUMBER SERIES and I think, NUMBER SERIES are the most time taking questions from initial test. Other then that, there were age difference questions, day trick questions. But most questions I came across were number series and picture matching/pattern questions.

Computer Science Test

1- Most questions were about OOP, Constructor/destructor, template functions (most asked topic),software engineering (qa basics,software development life cycle, e.g. whos responsibility is this to identify bugs in an application, what are common terms for bugs , etc., some HTML questions as well including FORM TAG,input , some computer history questions.

2- I found I had plenty of time during this test(being a software developer). But I utilized this time by checking back all my answers again.

Is it must to have experience certificate as i have completed my MIT recently.And am currently having my internship at PNSC.So how come i can get a 2 year experience certificate.

There is no need of experience letter if you did BS CS/IT/SE 4 years. Letter is necessary for bcs 2 year.

Well thanks bro for answering my query because i left hope of appearing as zealouszar bro stated that it is must.But i do have experience letter with me of 6months as Network Administrator.

One more thing i want to ask as i have done many short courses of IT.Should i take all those diploma certificates with me as well.I have done CPISM from Aptech.MCITP Training from NETS ENGINEERING COLLEGE SIALKOT.

just take matric inter (DMC + Certificate) + bachelor degree and transcript. Note: Matric,Inter DMC's are necessary irrespective of certificates.

I am also having DNS (TUF) and they asked me wait for psychological test call but they did not take my medical refer form. Did they take the refer form from you?
