eds portion was badly set, for example, in dams, the principle employed to generate electricity is to convert the gravitational potential energy of water into its kinetic energy. This option was there but I chose the option K.E to electricity which though is less commonly used when talking about hydro dams but seemed more close as it explained the end processes. P.E----->K.E----->Mechanical energy------->Electrical energy the question with reference to vacuum was also puzzling. it was something like that: the air inside a vacuum cleaner is............. with respect to atmosphere. Now two options, 'vacuum' and 'at low pressure', equally fit the answer, knowing that a perfect vacuum is impossible to achieve but the terminology is often used when pressure is significantly low and the other option 'at low pressure' is also not good enough since the pressure should not be just low but significantly low to generate suction effect but still it was technically correct . so my gut feeling triumphed over my knowledge and I went for the vacuum option keeping in view that it was EDS and not engineering paper, and the name is "Vacuum cleaner". similarly, the thrust option of airplane engine though works against drag but at the same time, it helps in increasing the lift as well since the air speed around the wings increases with engine thrust and hence increased pressure difference results in lift. |

In 5th and 8th exams the paper setter applied a strategy to control cheating and produced paper with 6 versions. the difficulty level was much diverse. this is the same happened here. the management is unwilling to work for betterment.

Last day i was thinking about this screening for the recruitment. Every time commission or NTS conduct paper on the same patron, CA, PA, GK, EDS, etc. What if these tests are conducted quarterly and valid for two years like IELTS, etc? this will save time, money of the commission and candidates. a candidate with result card is allowed to apply for the related jobs and than merits is prepared using academic and test scores. even a database can be prepared by the commission and it get the willingness for the post through email/sms.

actually, current trend of holding exam in batches is a way of making paper out. you guys may easily get the exam redundant through court.

How Do Planes Fly: Thrust and Drag
Drop a stone into the ocean and it will sink into the deep. Chuck a stone off the side of a mountain and it will plummet as well. Sure, steel ships can float and even very heavy airplanes can fly, but to achieve flight, you have to exploit the four basic aerodynamic forces: lift, weight, thrust and drag. You can think of them as four arms holding the plane in the air, each pushing from a different direction. First, let's examine thrust and drag. Thrust, whether caused by a propeller or a jet engine, is the aerodynamic force that pushes or pulls the airplane forward through space. The opposing aerodynamic force is drag, or the friction that resists the motion of an object moving through a fluid (or immobile in a moving fluid, as occurs when you fly a kite). If you stick your hand out of a car window while moving, you'll experience a very simple demonstration of drag at work. The amount of drag that your hand creates depends on a few factors, such as the size of your hand, the speed of the car and the density of the air. If you were to slow down, you would notice that the drag on your hand would decrease. |
