Do you know about the nature of job offered after clearing ISI exams? As far as preparation is concerned there are only 2 papers, and both are not that difficult. You can clear on your own.

This is the first time i have heared about IB exams, pls advise when these are conducted.

yeah you will have chance to get post in isi as a ASI,SI,Inspector and Assistant Director.....if ur civilian and if ur in Army,Aif Force or Navy then they will hire u investegation officer.....ASI post was anounced few weeks ago,but i dont know wuts the last date,becoz i did master so i hav plan to sit in exam for the post of AD,which will anounce last week of NOV...

whereas IB,FPSC will anounce soon for the post of AD....its besicaly MCq'S....

I don't think both papers are that much easy. One of Essay is regarded among the most tough papers even in CSS. Writing three hours on one topic for 100 marks definitely asks for strong writing skills. But you are right that one can prepare at his/her own. Infact pne can prepare anything at own.

Yeah I haven't joined any academy. There are some in Isb and Pindi as well but it takes too much time to go and attend classes that you can't afford when you have to manage other things as well.

Regarding your question about how to write a good, materialized essay; I can’t be of any help as such … Well my preparation is in early stages where I am improving the writing skills; going through sentence structures, grammars and building vocabulary. I am working on the basics of Essay exam where you know how to write and you have enough to say. If you see essay paper for ministry of defense for this year, almost all topics are related to Sociology. That was the main reason why I decided to opt Sociology in CSS.

Once the prerequisites are done I think it definitely asks for practice to write. If you want to see essay writing techniques etc then search on the forum in appropriate threads or wait for some senior to guide you.

Well don’t you think we are discussing this topics in wrong sub forum .. Its basically for IB posts.. There is another for Ministry of defense..

i was in FIA,im sure about it becoz i have some sources in isi and IB,don't worry i will tell u when it will be announced...i know ur the big fan of IB............but ISI is better then all...

shah sb on which post you were working with an aspirable department like FIA and why have you left that?
