There is no need to be in IB to know that, even I knew that, thats technical stuff . GPRS stands for General Packet Radio Service, it is used for data exchange between a phone and network. GPRS can be used to locate a phone only when it is connected to the network's data server and has been assigned an IP, and it is mostly inaccurate.

Binyamin is right, IB works under direct control of chief executive and perform varied roles including internal defence, counter intelligence, counter espionage, sabotage, subversion and anti terrorism etc.

Nope its not necessarily tht IB is to work in coordination with the police only.. You have had example of one IB inspector and that is not a thing to be quoted/taken for granted that whole lot is doing the same thing. One should not be biased on making assumptions like this... IB is not to work in coordination with the police only, your assumption that they take reprts from police investigators is off course biased...

mhmmdkashif; excuse me, i feel your information is vague, incomplete and misleading etc.

@ mashal, yes they have facilities to trace the calls and probably they have these facilities at provincial and federal headquarters and not necessarily at every nook and corner, but the districts might be linked with those headquarters etc..

yes exact locations might be done by them... private call facilities is not allowed to l.e.a's (law enforcement agencies), rather the intelligence agencies and some strategic working armed froced personnel are allowed/provided with the no number/user withheld/no number/private call facilities..

Sir; I work neither for IB nor Police, I specifically mentioned how I know what I am telling. Therefore you can deem my information as "vague" and "incomplete" but definitely not "biased" or "misleading" as I never prefered one department over another, nor did I stat official code of a department's procedure of duties, and ofcourse I honestly mentioned what I have witnessed without any temperance or addition of my own. Ofcourse both IB and Police are different departments working under Federal and Provincial governments respectively, and each have their own code for discoursing official duties, I mentioned what I observed, and that was not just the case of one Inspector but others too, as I have seen. If the case is different in rule books or with other officials, I have nothing to do with that.

Therefore I do not demand an apology .

Nope dear i didnt demand /ask for any apology..

But, "".....and each have their own code for discoursing official duties, I mentioned what I observed, and that was not just the case of one Inspector but others too, as I have seen. If the case is different in rule books or with other officials, I have nothing to do with that...." Hmmm i again smell biaseness

Answer is, there is wide wide difference. There are different sort of people in every department, and IB is not an exception. I am telling you because I may have seen/witness many many other natured/styled/mindset people and perhaps I might know much more thn simply witnessing.. Any ways, there is great difference between policing work and the intelligence work and police often works on the leads of the IB, khair leave it and have good time..

Thanks...you mean that IB has the authority to call from non digital numbers or they have the facility to call from a private number?
