As per ing form, it does not make sense in gerund clause.

I think its flying through the air

If the option is fly-through air then sentence should be like "hydrofoils fly-through the air employing the same principle that keeps aeroplane in air".

Mathematics portion almost 100 p.c correct.
Economics and political science were the toughest for me.
Expecting 120 /160. (Punjab)

I think the question was regarding the idea of "punishment " in criminology.
