Cool Starting ISI exam prep.

Dear ALL Asalamualaikum,

My name is Khuram Shahzad and I have recently joined CSS forum. Its a useful forum in all aspects of government Jobs.

I am greatly interested to do a preparation for AD ISI exams but before going through I would like to clear some points through this thread;

1. Ive seen in one thread that civilian ISI personnel only go up to grade 18....is it true??

2. What pay scale they give to BPS 17 when recruited?? Actual numbers

3. Is the exam going to take place next year? and in which month?

4. I'm an Engineer by profession is it worth taking this career? ( Im talking in other terms other than serving the country etc)

5. Finally any referral material so start with.

Dear Members please post early as I in a mood to start my preparation now so my preparation will greatly relay on response to this thread.

Thanks!

Promotions are not so speedy as compared to other organization. This statement is not 100% correct but that is not 100% wrong as well.

Pay scale of civil servant in BPS-17. AD ISI is drawing approx Rs.18000.

No body can answer this question with confidence. But hope for that.

@ RAZ thank U! for ur detail answer.

The pay U mentioned is 18k ive seen a post in IB section where there is pay mentioned as 40000+ for IB personals. Isnt this pay small compare to the level of responsibility.

Ive asked about any course material that might be useful to start my preparation.

Any way thank U RAZ bhai very much once again, and Ill wait for more answers from members.

I have suggested you a complete course material package. That is sufficient and most relevant mode for the preparation. You need not touch tailor made books for the preparation. Keep your self in touch with media and be keen observer of the current issues.

Default Not only written

Do not concentrate only on written part but what has more weightage is ur psychological test.

Well thats Good. carry on whats you studying but question here is not that you are from media related. becaz there is not only media related issue tests in ISI. sure its would be helpful to you. but if you wana go to ISI then keep ur eyes on everythings going arround. and also praper your IQ level. and stronger your English grammatically. More over no one can give specific data whats they will give in test. so its random and they can give any type of test. last time we attemp the test there was two papers of it.

one was with 10 MCQS and short questions, and 2nd papers Long questions in which you would have to attempt 5 questions.
So praper ur skills on essay writting and general Knowledge and Current Affairs. blah blah...

Reagrds,
Asif
