Arrow Syllabus for AD
Syllabus is very simple now. MOD has changed the exam pattern. Now the test conist of 100mcqs to be attempted in 1 hour. It has following pattern.
English 25%
Pakistan Studies 13%
Islamiyat 12%
General Knowledge 25%
Current affairs 10%
Computer 15%
The best book to prepare from is Doggar’s ISSB guide and Dogars AD or SI guide. English questions are very tricky. You have to pick only 1 word from given 4. Although all words will fit in sentence but be sure to pick the right 1 only which is grammatically correct. Because 1 wrong MCQ can throw u out of competition.
Keep hawk eye on current affairs, especially current Political Fiasco of Pakistan.
This was all my personal experience that i gained in last test held for this post. And BY GRACE OF ALMIGHTY ALLAH AND MY PARENTS BLESSINGS, i did succeeded in this test.

hey bro wt hppnd aftr u succeeded.. did u join it? can u pls tell us wt r the prospects of the job? wt i think, as isi comes undr cntrl of military, army ppl mus be havin an upper hand... i fear if these civilians (ADs, DDs...) are treated well... pls tell us somethin abt the job scope if it's okay wth u sharing abt it..

lastly i wud like to tk a sincere suggestion.. do u recommend me to go for ths job aftr knwing i alrdy hv a job in pvt sector whr i am earning around 3-4 laks/m... pls suggest n throw light in the dark... thnx n lookin...

should i bought Jehangir Encyclopedia(Mcqs)for this purpose?

Brother,
there r two categories in MOD, Army and Civilian. Yes, its true that they have the upper hand, but respect is given to each and Every individual. You have an excellent chance of promotion provided that u meet the required mental skills and competency. All that depends on your own performance.
To be sincere, If you are looking for Money in this department, then i advise you not to waste your time and life.i am posting another thread by criteria of MOD for recruitment, That will be very beneficial and self explanatory.

Well, britanica is good. but all you can best gain from is Internet itself. Go to wikipedia.com and look at articles.

brother are you sure about its patteren. as well as i know you have applied for SI have you got medical letter

yes bro, because AD and SI test were same that was attempted by all who aplied for both AD and SI. Psychological test were same @ same day and same time, even same place because we all were sitting together. the only difference was in interview dates with recruitment panel.

Regarding My Medical Letter, i talked to them yesterday, they told me that i may receive my medical letter in 2nd last or last batch.

nice to hear this but yarr as far as i know AD exam carried 200 marks subjective paper. i also appeared in the both test (phy.written) but yarr it was not at same time

yes bro. you may be right that AD exam carried 200 marks. but wat i wrote was wat was experienced by candidates here. I still advise all hopeful that do prepare urself from every aspect as this is BPS 17 scale test. so any pattern can be adopted

I would give you a sincere advice that not to go for ISI if you are already earning a handsome salary. ISI could be a good option for those who are unemployed, otherwise it is just like any administrative job where you cannot earn more than 20 or 22,000.
