No idea dear but i think less number of candidates from KP were in karachi center.

No its a difficult task. I was only interested in higher scorers, I did it.

Salam... guys i am already working as an AATCO in CAA ... my sister applied for the test this time and from the comments i have seen here i believe she may have scored the highest marks which is 77. If any body knows anyone who has scored more than that plz let me know and if u have any questions regarding this job i will try to answer all of your questions thanks...

Congratulations to her dear.How long have you been working as an AATCO ? What is the take home salary along with perks and can you please tell the time duration of recruitment process,i mean after test how much time is taken for interview and then final selection.Please intimate total time duration.Additionally,please tell about that court case and new recruitments whether these AATCO jobs will meet the same fate as pended AATCO jobs of last year.Please answer in detail

thanks i have been working as an AATCO for 2 yrs now, i joined CAA in sept 2011... total gross salary is 75k and take home is 67k but i have only 1 license right now , and the only other benefit is medical for you,wife,children and parents. But salary increases as you continue to take licenses on various things such as tower controller license, area control (procedure), area control(radar),approach control (radar & procedure) , instructor license etc etc. each and every license will add 20% of your basic running salary to your total salary so maximum you can go upto is 140% of basic running salary. Many of the controllers are earning much much more than the people in PG-08 or PG-09 in other CAA departments.

The recruitement process take a really long time i remember when i applied for AATCO the entire process took 1 year from test,interview to joining CATI.
CATI is the civil aviation training institute where all those selected will have to go through a 7-8 months training period . During training only basic salary is given not the whole salary which is around 25k.

as far as the case is concerned i have only heard things from various sources. the problem is that the ATC assistants who joined CAA in PG-04 , who are now in PG-05 or PG-06 are frustated and have lodged cases against CAA that CAA does not promote them and instead keeps on hiring from outside. there is definitely a stay order from court but CAA seems confident that the entire case will be tossed out soon as this same thing happened when I was going through the recruitement process.
From one really reliable source i have heard that last years selected candidates will soon recieve there joining letters and will begin their training some where in july or august after eid. When ever they will join CATI , 3 months behind them the selected candidates from this selection will join CATI as well.

Oh and my Training began in feb 2011 but that is not the official date of joining CAA as you will be given appointment letter only after successful completion of couse at CATI meaning in every exam you'll have to score 70 marks or higher out of 100. so training began in feb but date of joining is in sep 2011

Without any license the take home salary will be around 55k
