Brother not Essay...it was clearly asked WRITE ''A'' PARAGRAPH...means one para only not multiple paras leading to essay form...and mostly candidates gave it essay form...however it was not asked...just A paragraph was asked in question with 300 words clearly which makes it just about of one and half page...because I calculated almost 7 words per line and almost 35 lines were per page....but candidates were writing irrespective of asked question and limit...now lets see...and hope for best...

however it was tricky test because topics were usual but writing a para on given outlines with just 300 limit was task...

Question of 20 marks can not be done in a para. At least you have to avail space enough to tell the examiner that you know something. This was not essay paper it was current affairs. Here they are not checking whether you can summarize thins well or not. Analysis is the skill. Even the analysts would find it a tough ask to do it in a para. Fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Well I dont agree with you...as this was trick...just answer what is asked...they asked A paragraph not Essay...and multiple paras definitely make a Essay...It is a universal fact...in such questions like Para writing or Essay writing...IF EXAMINER SETS LIMIT regardless of numbers, then always try to adhere with it...for example precise paper of CSS,(Para is also asked in this paper with words limit) or Essay...and you can ask all high level Professors of English also....in this test examiner had set limit...it was WRITE A PARA OF ALMOST 300 words then i dont get fun of writing a Essay...seems weird to me...but yup best of luck and no offence...

Actually with ocean of applicants they have to ask tricky questions in screening test...I think this test was tricky altogether...any graduate will write pages of pages on energy crisis,terrorism etc but difference is writing a para of almost 300 words with given outline...then only you can stand different and according to required standard....means answering what is asked not just writing crammed stuff on pages of pages...seems legit...

Papers A-2 Mcqs was tricky ones

5 paragraph topics were:

1-Civil war in Afghanistan and it's impact on Pakistan Iran and India
2-Poverty
3-Energy and water crisis
4-WTO
5-Pakistan foreign Policy

Outline was given so essay portion was no so difficult...

If my memory serves me right, Salman Aslam wasn't one of the option.
Irfan Qadir and Munir A. Malik were, it was an outdated question in the first place.

And I don't remember how exactly the question was asked regarding US representative for Pakistan and Afghan, but Ricard Holbrooke was the very first individual who held this office. So it might be the right answer.
