Unhappy Confused in subject selection

Dear fellas!

I am an Engineer by profession. I have decided to appear in PMS 2017. Please suggest which subjects to choose.

I have already chosen Psychology as it is my optional in CSS too.

Is Mass Communication doable for a person who doesn't have any idea about it? Another option can be public administration but as per the syllabus, Mass Comm is way shorter than Public Ad.

Secondly, I am inclined towards Geography owing to my science background. Is it a wise choice?

Mass Com has been a scoring subject for the past few year in Provincial Management Exams. The nature of this subject is very generic and its concepts can be grasped by anyone having little analytical ability. Besides the paper is more of a current affair one rather than a technical one.

As compared to Pub Ad, Geography is far better option keeping in view the preparedness and time at hand for this particular subject. For me Pub Ad is sort of a compulsive choice as I have been preparing it for CSS and PMS for over a year. Although, it has not been a scoring sub in PMS but it can be said a safe subject which can give one 120 marks with little preparation. To conclude, all these subjects are a better choice for you either way.

Mass Communication is scoring subject. While coming to the Public Administration, it is advised to consult Virtual University short notes about Public Administration not more than 200 pages if you are interested in it, otherwise opt for Geography!
