Post Initial posting station for PMS officers
can anybody give me some info abt initial posting of PMS officers. Can any PMS officer get posting in his own district or not. What r the rules for their initial appointments. Also, what stipend they get during probation.

PMS officers are entitled to be posted at both secretariet and feild and Punjab Govt has assigned 30 PC Quota of PMS officers for posting in the field but in practice PMS officers rarely get field positions during the intial stages of their career.Most of them are posted in the secretariet as SO.

In the field ,PMS officer may be appointed as DDO,PM,Assistant Director Anticorruption,Special judical Megestrate etc howevevr these positions are given to pms/pcs officers after 3 to 4 years of service while DMGs take statr from these position

thanx for providing req info......actually i wasn't clear abt PMS initial postings....but now i ve gotten idea

Dear saleeqa, is there any rule regarding posting place.....i.e, can any PMS officer be initially appointed in field in his own district or division? As in CSS, nobody can get initial posting in one's province of residence.
