well,it depends from person to person.A tehsildar gets promoted to grade 17 from 3 to 5 years, while a Inspector needs almost 15+ years to get promoted to grade 17.Just FYI,Muhammad Khan Khichi,Current Commissioner Bahawapur, was inducted as Tehsildar in government Service.

It is tehsildar without an iota of doubt and I am not saying this on the basis of faster promotion but on the basis of political clout that he enjoys

Post of Inspector Police is reserved for promotion quota and in Police direct recruitment is made as ASI, so when a person is promoted to the rank of Inspector then it takes several years whereas Tehsildar is directly recruited through public service commission, therefore, i don't feel any need to compare both of the posts, for a young man of course Tehsildar is best choice.

I see same issue of comparing PSP with DMG in the above matter. Both have different nature of work. Thereofore, it may be suggest to pend the matter till the announcement of Tehsildar result.

Tehsildar is better because he is Assistant Collector Class One and Magistrate Class one. While Inspector dont have these powers.

what all are you talking about is totally not geting into the minds.one cannot compare tehsildar with inspector punjab police in all scenarios as inspector enjoys more power, respect, authority, exploure and status in the government as compared to tehsildar, but the only darkside in the police profession is risk and hardships which they faced in their duty, otherwise inspector is far better then tehsildar.
