I was the last person of PMS 2011 to be interviewed.
Entered in the room. Greeted the panel.
Chairman .Your domicile district
I told Faisalabad.
Your motivation for civil services
I said, Greater exposure, Social Recognition, Mobility and opportunity to serve your own people.
Your optional.
I told
Urdu, Mass Communication and Commerce.
Then Chairman explained two things
1- We don’t expect you to reply everything
2- You can counter us but with argument
Lady:
You spouse posted in Islamabad. How ‘ll you manage if you are selected and posted in Punjab?
I said kay being civil servant one should be ready to face these things.
Lady
Who is your favorite poet.
I said many.
He said name them
I said ghalib,Majid AMjad, Punjabi main Anwar Masood,Saraiki main khwaja Ghulam Faird
OK Anwar Masood ki poem sunao
I recited “Ambri” and then told I have seen such incidences in my home village.

What economic problem new Govt will face
I said Debt Bureden ,Budget Defict ,Fiscal Deficit and payment which is due to IMF for WHICH Rupee is under pressure.
Ok what should be done to fix economy.
I said tax reforms
He said how
I said restructure FBR on Corporate lines
He said it has been done already.
I said it is operating under certain rules
He said Auditor General is also an autonomous body why it is not performing well.
I said it has burucratic structure.But I have no idea about it is working.

Rauf Sb:
You are earning good in current org so if you join PMS , you have reduced salary.
I said I am financially settled and can manage my affairs.

American Banks faced crises while Pakistani Banks survived.
I told that American Crises was due to Sub Prime Mortgage. In Pakistan Banks were doing same at one time.( I told kay jis bunday key 10K Salary thy us nay bhi Mehran Car Finance karawa li , kay chalo Roti Payaz say kha loon ga but gari to ho gi) but here SBP intervened timely issued PRs on Consumer Finance where funding was linked to delinquency. Then Basel 11 was a factor.

I told.
Chairman: explain a verse of Ghalib
“Gada Samjah Kay main chup tha kay mery shamat aye
Utha aur uth kay qadam main nay paasbaan kay liay….”

He asked me to write down and take time to think and then explain.
I explained that Ghalib say that I touched the feet of my beloved but my beloved thought I m begger.He didn’t agreed with me.i tried to explain in a different way but he said that the “Paasbaan is Chowkidaar-a pathan aur Shamat ka matlub hay kay Ghalib ki “Thukai Hoee hay”(This discussion took almost 5 minutes” –At this I said Sir “Agar itni conditions hain to phr pathan hay us ka dimagh phir gaya ho ga”-There brook a laughter at my say and interview concluded.
