Do opt the subject in which you have professional/masters degree if any, and must consider the following subjects
Punjabi
Public admistration
social work
Mass communication
i would suggest self study
PMs is not a regular exam unlike css, you can expect Advertisement in oct/nov

There are news that ad for next PMS will be given next Month. Hope it would not be too late.

My suggestions from optional subjects:
1: Punjabi
2: Public Administration
3: Geography

Once you opt your subjects, I will recommend you for books & guide methodology. Initially, academy is good for getting know how. One have to study & effort by himself. Academies normally give little knowledge about these exams as there most faculty have no experience of such exams. They are only lecturers & professors of colleges/universities.

hi...i had appeared in pms and css both in 2012..my subjects in pms were public administration in which i scored 176 marks,,mass communication and sociology were also included in my optional...according to my experience,,the afore-given subjects are high scoring..my score in pms was 628 but unfortunately i was failed in precise and composition paper and scored only 28 marks in this particular subject.

brother go for
punjabi,
geography
social work or public ad
these are highly scoring and easy to prepare as well.
self study and group discussion are better tool for preparation.for urdu and english composition consult teacher or seniors who have qualified.trust in GOD and trust yourself.my experience says that belief wins the game in any exam.best of luck

i prefer self study over the preparation of academy...please tell me your optional subjects so that i should recommend you few books, which are, in my opinion are best for preparation
