Earlier sub inspector took charge as
Additional SHO, and performed the duties as
SHO. And they placed no inspector there as SHO. Now it is amended and even SI's can hold office as full SHO.

But corruption can not be rectified by recruiting new SI's as the working environment is not conducive for a "IMAANDAAR" officer.

Politicians want our police to be as they are right now! For their illegal activities and for political victimisation. All SHO's in punjab are holding office because of these cheap politicians. Politicians provide cover to corrupt SHO'S and meanwhile reap their own benefits from them. False FIR's are a routine matter. And a common man cannot get any help from current police setup.

No organisational reforms are being done by our law makers for the betterment of police department. No change can be brought upon until and unless police reforms are introduced.

any news about the direct recruitment of DSP's through PPSC in punjab...??

After the amendment in Police Order, now Constables, Sub Inspectors and ASPs will be recruited. Recruitment of ASIs has been stopped. Recruitment of Sub Inspectors in Punjab Police is almost completed. Pay scale of SI is BPS-14. Approx 28+ salary.
