Default Let's prepare for the post of Excise and Taxation Officer BS-17
Please Post questions so far as the syllabus is concerned it would probably comprised 50% by English and rest 50% by EDS, GK (Pak Affairs, Current Affairs) and Islamiyat mcqs type questions. At most they can also give an essay of 1 or 2 leaves.

It's very earlier to prepare for the above-mentioned post because the Sindh government has not announced the specific date for conducting the test.

Now something about syllabus, it is available in the market. You can buy the books of multifarious publishers which contain the previous solved papers of ETOs,

Finally, as these posts were not given to SPSC or other testing department so dear, there are low chances of merit and these are on contract for six months.

There are zero per cent chances that hiring would be on merit. would that mean we don't even attempt. Bhai jan God always helps those who help themselves. Moreover, you said its quite early to prepare let me tell you that the government officially announces the test one week prior for most of the people one week is insufficient time to prepare. you might have been very genius but not all the people.

have spsc announced excise and taxation vacancy for 2012? if, then what is the last date for submission of forms or i m too late for this, kindly reply

URFA SPSC did not announce such posts. But, the Excise Department announced the vacancies the application submitting date has been lapsed.

I have received the letter for the test of ETO and its scheduled on wednesday 2nd january 2013.

I've also got the letter for the above-mentioned post. So all of the candidates are requested to share questions and syllabus for ETOs,

Lets hope for merit and transparency.

There seemed no chance of merit as the posts lie under SPSC but were announced by department.There fore i did not apply...

Do we have any senior here for guidance on ETO test? Or someone who has passed the test. No wonder, chances of merit are at their lowest ebb, however, we do not have any good reason to not to attempt the test.
The test must be full of surprises, as we do not know the syllabus.
How weird is that!

Thats just so right as we are not aware of what the test is going to be like.I think we should have been dispatched a syllabus along with the letter also which could have given us clearer picture about the test.For now its like a clerical test in which we expect anything.
