Dear member,

Unlike CSS which is held once a year and conducted by FPSC,
PCS exams are being conducted many times a year for different posts
By respective provincial public service commissions of each province,
You you should consult relevant sub-forum given for each province and look
For any pcs exam!

Regards!

Well dear what you are referring to is General Recruitment not PCS....It is like CSS but at provincial level.... It is called PMS in Punjab, KPK and Balochistan but called PCS here in Sindh and for your information this exam is usually held every year but in other provinces not in sindh... the last time PCS was conducted was in 2008 and before it in 2003.... so on average our Sindh PCS is conducted every fifth year....

Regards

Dear sir,

Here you are confusing youself between CCE (combined competitive exam) and
PCS (provincial civil service).Pcs does not necessarily means CCE even in SPSC (just re-check SPSC website again).

As regards the term you used as "General Recruitments",
For your kind information, it is specific for FPSC, where exams other than CSS are dealt under general recruitments!

Stay blessed!
Regards.

Dear I'm not confusing anything.... I know what CCE is and what PCS is.... You should re-check SPSC Website as far as my knowledge is concerned I'm pretty sure about General Recruitment and it doesn't necessarily apply to FPSC...General recruitment is recruitment to different posts by a public service commission on behalf of Government either Federal or Provincial and its scope does not end at FPSC... what PPSC,BPSC,KPPSC and SPSC does other than conducting competitive examination is general recruitment... CCE is PCS not recruitment to any single departmental post.... PCS is like CSS and CCE is its name like CSS have as CE(Competitive Exam).

Dear,I completely agree with you.PCS is like PMS but unfortunately in Sindh,it is held in five years on an average. Moreover,SPSC,like FPSC ,BPSC,KPKSC and PPSC keeps recruiting in different departments like,Forestry,Education,Police etc throughout the year but they are not PCS exams, they are simple SPSC tests for recruitment in respective departments.

Regards

Dear aadi, that is exactly what I said.... PCS is a Competitive Exam not recruitment to a general post and held after every 5th year in Sindh

Komal your query remained unanswered in the debate. For G.K i would suggest you to go through past papers first, you will have great idea about pattern of G.K paper in PCS.Questions regarding biggest, smallest, largest, tallest, shortest, most populated countries, inventions, discoveries, scientists and their works etc have been asked in previous exams. Therefore,do go through Ch Najib's book of G.K and for sindhi i would suggest you to go through Mukhtiar Mallah's book.It covers almost everything. Moreover,do memorize some 70 to 80 couplets from sindhi poetry to substantiate your arguments to secure higher marks.

Regards

Dear aadi, No offense dear but just to add that her query was answered as I'd responded with a link to explore it's been made for PCS exclusively and Mukhtiar Mallah's book is more related to sindhi literature than "sindhi general" its like composition paper not literature that is another optional....

Anyways we all need to prepare well...

Best of Luck to everyone who is appearing in CCE-2013. May it is conducted on merit this time and not like the 2003's case...

Regards
Stay Blessed
