i think all of the members are busy here..........

i will post my first social problem " corruption in pakistan" today or tomorow .... the reason for of which it took nuch time that i was busy in preparation for my lecturer ship test and interview.....

and other thing that i was suffered by sunstroke... now im feeling better but i have another problem that i have no MSOffice in y PC...........


so sorry once agian and u will find my thread soon INSHALLAH

In the most general sense corruption mean the perversion or abandonment of a standard . hence it is common to speak of the corruption. More narrowly corruption refers to the abandonment of expected standrad of behaviour by those in authority for the sake of unsanctioned personal advantage.

Corruption has become a way oflfe and it permeats every segment of society. it is not only endamic to public sector but extends to private life as well. we routinely cheat, shortchange , lie, adulterate, and act in a myriad other dishonest ways. But when we talk of corruption, we seem to be reffering to transaction cost of dealing with government deartment.

The 2001 corruption Perception Index (CPI) of Transparency International has renked pakistan at 80th amongst 91 countries surveyed the PCI score relates to a perception of the degree of corruption as seen by bussiness people risk analyst and the general public. Eleven countries are for worse than Pakistan and these include Ruassia, Indonesea and Bengladesh.

poor tranparancy is often formed in the countries chracterised by uncheked economic or political power. the extant of corruption is linked to bureaucratic red tape, a low level of openess in the economy and a weak legal system.

it is said that war on corruption is a nation's internal matter/ although corruption is a national problem and has to be handled internally with a firm political resolve but out side world has also cotributed to the problem by being generious, particularly during non-democratic rule, giving huge loans knowing full well the extent of misgrowing. Accoring to a study quoted by Dr. Farukh Saleem a freelance columnist ( Dec 23-29, 1999) the WB top borrowers happend to be the most corupt as definee by Tranperancy International . According to its policy the WB should not be lending to corrupts governments because development require good governance and this means transparent and accountable public institutions. corruption is asignificant impediment to growth in developing coutries.
