Default science and relegion

science and relegion
science and relegion are the two most important aspects of human life.Generally the two are considered to be at variance with each other.For the basic approach to each is quiet opposite to the other.Relegion demands the unconditional allegiance of what is told while science has its own process of reason and experience after which one comes to certian beliefs.yet being so opposite to each other both have the same purpose that is the Human Progress.Science seemed to be more concerned with the physical world while relegion deals with spiritual world at the very outset.
Relegion as defined in the Encyclopedia of Britanica is believing in supernatural.Kaut defines relegion as "recognition of our all duties as divine commands".Science is defined as the study of observable truths or phenomenon.My endeavours here would be to see the extent to which each contradict or reinforce each other.Both science and relegion are needed at the same time as one devoid of other would surely be incapable of satisfying the true needs of humanity for example Science tells us the importance of bread for human physical existence but at the same time we need relegion to warn us of the limits to which we can go to attain the same.Without the moral values given by relegion science can even be a danger for humanity.
But the contradictions between relegion and science are also great.For centuries West was in conflict of freeing itself from the grip of relegion for scientific progress.Here relegion was a clear hindrance in the way of development.Each new discovery or invention was discouraged as against the relegious teaching.Gallelio had to suffer life imprisonment for the discovery of the truth that Earth and other planets revolve round sun which was in clear contrast of the teaching of Gospels where Earth was the centre of universe.Anesthesia was condemned by clergy who regard it as an intevention in God's affairs who cursesd to suffer women of childbirth pangs. In such a situation it was imperative for them to reduce the relegion to a mere personal affair.
The problem with muslim world is just the opposite here is the relegion which states that it is a duty incumbent on men and women to educate themselves.There are a number of verses in Quran where muslims are urged to acquire knowledge .Quran tells muslims that in this universe there are signs for those who understand it.As long as muslim rulers patronize the seek of knowledge they were on the peak but when they indulge themselves in other frivolities there decline peroid started.so west progress by putting aside their relegious views while muslims decline by ignoring their relegious duties.
so science and relegion should not contradict but reinforce each other as the two benifactors of humanity.Each one should be given its proper place .

Dear, it is good but if it is an expansion then it must be comprised of more or less 250 words but this is comprised of 464 words. U need to cut it down to 250 words approximately if you want to present it as a short essay or expansion in English paper.

Regards

@Nosheen

Reading between the lines i found, the topic can be expanded into a comprehensive essay as well. I M Possible has rightly said, if you attempted to write the short essay (English Paper), it would have comprised of 250 to 300 words. And if it was to be an analytical essay it would have a length od above 1500 words. Anyways, a nice effort. Let me have a look at it once more.

@ Nosheen

Well u left this essay in lurch. We neither palce it in the category of proper essays nor expansions/short essay. I think u ought to write it down again.

@ Nosheen,

Well u may expand it to a full essay or can make an expansion. It is up to u. Quality of material matters for entering SF. But expansion would be more better because it is an expansion topic.

All the best
Regards
