I don't understand why people are reluctant to share their experience. Well if you think by concealing information you can take your post of OG2 then you are seriously misinformed. Allah ne rizq pehle he kiya huva he mutayyan her ek ka.
Let me share mine experience: My turn came after almost 4 hours of mentioned time. 8 Jan 2013. I was taken aback by relatively less professional approach of the panel, I have been interviewed by many banks but this panel do not look as they are representing Central Bank, The supreme authority on Commercial Banks. Most of questions were general in nature. Why did you do this? Why you never bought a prize bond? What is SBP? Banks and DFIs, their difference? Branchless Banking? Why do you think central bank is better than Commercial Banks? Questions related to competitive exams? Personal, family, educational certificates discussion. Types of Banks? Investment and Islamic Banks? There was humour as well, they enjoyed my stay so do I. However, i had high expectations from the panel they disappointed me by their ordinary approach of questioning? Had I been there in the Panel i would have asked in a better style. The hardly let you complete anything. Punjabib, urdu, english everything works. The good part is that there is a good level of frankness you won't find any bossy attitude. But my interviews at Commercial Banks have been much better and above my expectations as far as professionalism is concerned. No need to prepare, just go and enjoy your time with them. Very simple questions they do ask Thankz in anticipation

calm down yaar, you keep on asking the same question from everyone. It's not possible for anyone to ask the panel about the chances of those in waiting list during the interview!! Grow up dear!
and let me tell you another fact that those who qualified and appeared for interview were in quite abundance and seemed very much capable, thus (I may be harsh in saying this but) you should least be expecting to be called. |

My interview was 3rd next to Ms Sarah's probably, I think I heard some laughs, not sure though
Anyways my interview was quiet opposite than that of Ms Sarah's. There were questions relating to my MBA majors i-e Finance, then there were questions about my anticipated performance if I join in, a little about my educational career and family background. 1. Please explain about your name. "Kenneth" 2. Where did you get your schooling from? 3. How did you end up in MBA? 4. What do you know about zero budgeting? 5. What is capital budgeting? 6. IRR? 7. "it seems like you know your finance but I don't think you are a hardworking person" (justification!!) 8. family background for 7 I told them about some of my challenging work experiences as a volunteer in an ngo for the IDPs situation in 2009....but it could have been more interesting if I would have added something from my academic and extracurricular achievements My advice: Do not stop speaking unless you are asked to do so and highlight only the essentials. SBP's guys are a good bunch of people and they will give you their full support so feel comfortable and confident. Best of luck!
