My interview was today and it was Ok
They asked about the subjects I studied in my masters degree
they asked about SBP and BSC and fuctions of each
also asked about my current earnings, my strengths and my ambitions
and why you want to change your field
CPI, inflation, GDP and their values right now in Pakistan
One thing i didn't like was they asked same questions again and again like what are you doing now ? what your Father do? which looks unprofessional in behaviour
As I know they didn't do any homework for interviews, in between they were talking to each other k yar ye sawal na karo and things like that
one guy who was interviewed before me was very sure that he is selected

it went good, now Allah knows well k wahan Rizq likha hai ya nahi......
be confident and don't get confuse

Let me share mine experience:

My turn came after almost 4 hours of mentioned time. 8 Jan 2013.

I was taken aback by relatively less professional approach of the panel, I have been interviewed by many banks but this panel do not look as they are representing Central Bank, The supreme authority on Commercial Banks.

Most of questions were general in nature.
Why did you do this?
Why you never bought a prize bond?
What is SBP?
Banks and DFIs, their difference?
Branchless Banking?
Why do you think central bank is better than Commercial Banks?
Questions related to competitive exams?
Personal, family, educational certificates discussion.
Types of Banks? Investment and Islamic Banks?

There was humour as well, they enjoyed my stay so do I. However, i had high expectations from the panel they disappointed me by their ordinary approach of questioning? Had I been there in the Panel i would have asked in a better style. The hardly let you complete anything. Punjabib, urdu, english everything works.
The good part is that there is a good level of frankness you won't find any bossy attitude. But my interviews at Commercial Banks have been much better and above my expectations as far as professionalism is concerned.

No need to prepare, just go and enjoy your time with them. Very simple questions they do ask

Thankz in anticipation

Default Interviews in islamabad

Has any one from Islamabad got any interview letter yet. When are interviews in Islamabad expected ?

PS Descendant: I got kicked out of SBOTS too. I dint know you were a telecom Engineer and you have indeed been the most persistent person on the CSS Forums. Hope you dont suffer the same fate in YPIP. I got kicked out coz of ACMA.

My interview was on 10th January. Reporting time was 3:30 pm. But my turn came around 6 pm.
However the panel of 6 professionals asked me the following questions
About my degree. When did i graduate. What i am doing now.
Being myself an Accounting Major they started asking questions about accounting concepts like:
Depreciation and Amortization and difference between the two with examples?
GAAP and the name of accounting body who makes them?
Difference between Capital expenditure and Revenue expenditure?
Functions of SBP BSc.
job description of YPIP OG2.

I hope that i have recalled each and every question !
In the end i would say that panel was very good no need to get afraid
Good Luck
