Hi folks, I appeared in interview today at MCB Staff College, chandni chowk Rwp. Before going into interview details, I would like to mention that I’ve done MBA-HRM from IIUI (2009), so that you have some idea to compare with.

There were 2 panels, comprising of 3 interviewers each, interviewing 2 candidates simultaneously.

My interview was scheduled at 12 am but my no. came at 6:45pm (similar case was with all others). So I strongly advise that do take some notes, books or any magazine, to read or at least kill the time, otherwise boredom and fatigue will kill you.
.
My interview lasted for almost 8-10 mins. They mostly ask questions related to the specialization subjects. They will start with your brief intro but their key questions will revolve around your specialization. All the people interviewed today were asked questions from their specialization subjects.

BESIDES THIS THEY ASKED:

• why you want to join MCB
• why you want to join banking sector
• your weaknesses,
• why should we hire you
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd preference of posting

[I’d like to share an appreciable thing which I observed today. They (MCB) realized that the candidates will have to stay very long, so they arranged; tea at around 1pm, lunch (Biryani) at around 3pm, green tea at around 4pm and I believe they must have served dinner as well (I left at around 7pm). Hates off to MCB for this positive trend.]

Good luck for rest all!

It was not that tough, I had Finance degree so they asked me questions about Hedging, Market Exposure, Internal Rate of Return, Role of State Bank, Monetary Policy, Discount Rate, Micro financing and its future in Pakistan, then asked me if are you ready to work anywhere in Pakistan and you know we have a bond for 3 years...
So if you have a Finance degree, they are going to give you a bit tough time. Over all not that bad experience. But Time Management is very bad... Remember to bring you all documents and their photocopies and also the photocopy of your CNIC.
Best of luck to the remaining ones guys... May Allah Help you. Hope you see you in the Batch Pray for me as well.
Regards
r u from lhr and was ur centre in moon market dear

Dear, Moon Market itself is a famous place. You don't need to know any famous building.

My interview was scheduled at 4pm at MCB Staff College Moon Market Lahore, but i got the chance to appear before the panel around 10:15PM as Muhammad Asad Raza mentioned, the Management was very poor. Anyway i have done M.com with specialization in Marketing, they asked me about balance sheet and effects of asset purchasing on balance sheet, some family background, reminder about job placement anywhere in Pakistan and three year Bond. Also they discussed Heer Ranja (Heer Waris Shah) with me, they told me we would place you in Heer's Village at Jhang! :p

The staff college is on the backside of the MCB Moon Market Branch, once you are in Moon Market its very easy to find, but if you are having trouble remember its near Shezan Bakery which is visible from the main road.
