I think it is a good idea if you have been unemployed for a length of time and want to show that you are not 'wasting away'. But your particular niche is a bit controversial in the ethical aspect, since what you are doing is technically disrupting the grading balance. Owing to your services, individuals, who may not be so capable on their own, are effectively getting grades by paying for them.

I'd avoid it, if you can swap it out with professional \ internship experience. But if you haven't got either, you can drop it in and hope the panel doesn't burrow into it.

Also, aren't you the one who got 90 or something last year? How many did you get this year? When is your interview?

I didnt appear this year. I am looking for academic position, research related mostly. The thing is my freelance experience has expanded my knowledge and skills in academia. These assignments that I do are for someone who had already earned his degree but it got cancelled as the awarding institute got defunct. The exposure this work has given me can set me apart from many candidates. But here although government is striving to cultivate freelancers, the employers are not too keen about and think its unethical. It is in most cases, but in my case it isn't since the client is giving exams himself and only needing my help whenever he can't juggle assignments with 18 hours of work.

Yes 100%! No need to hide your freelance experience. As far as I know it adds value to your profile. I have been asked this question that what have I been doing? Do I work as a freelance?

Always tell about your freelance work. They do not like someone who sits idle. It won't harm you in anyway rather it will benefit you. One of my teachers who is a civil servant also advised me to mention my freelance work and internship if I had done any. You should tell them about your writing services with full confidence.

As far as making assignments for foreign students goes, it is unethical. I would suggest you to maneuver your answer but definitely tell them about your freelance experience.

Even more reason to avoid bringing the doing-someone's-work aspect of your services if you want to get into an academic institution as a researcher. Any professor(s) who is going to interview you will look down upon it, even if you mention this background.

If you want to absolutely include it in your resume/interview, why not put a different spin on it? Say that you wrote articles and blog posts for academic service providers? Like revision notes, summaries and key points etc. regarding your concerned courses? Or maybe say that you provided online tuition services over Skype? Both alternatives will take out the direct help aspect of things while keeping the academic benefits you gleaned from your freelancing experience intact.

I figured as much. That is why I asked. I will definitely lie about it then be seen as unethical.. (the irony!!).. Thanks for your suggestions. It cleared up a lot of confusion.

Hello everyone
Interviews are over. When do you folk expect the final result to be out? Last year interview ended in mid April and final result was announced in first week of May. Keeping this in mind, i think it would be within 20 days.

Moreover, if anyone can tell how many guys appeared in the interview from KP and how many KP candidates scored in 80s. Mine 81, domicile KPK.

Never think score will increase your chances of selection in at least State Bank. The organisation's selection criteria depends predominately on the interview of a candidate.Last time, students with marks just close to cut off were selected while a girl who scored 90 was rejected. So my advice is that don't elevate your hopes just because you scored well.Interview is the game changer here.

Those who gave interview at Karachi share your experience and expectations. Mine was good. Answered all questions(around 8 to 9) except 2.
