How did you answer the why should they select you despite the non banking background question?

@syeda to your 3rd question my reply was Although I have an engineering background but i have keen interest to know about the economy of pakistan.i read SBP monthly magazine regularly.Moreover,my educational background is very sound and i have scored good marks in written test.I think i can be very useful employee for sbp.
i did not join sbp because i got good job in punjab government and related to my field.
They ask questions about Sbp BSC primary functions.

Almost every other question was asked from my own answers to the previous questions. so better answer in a way that they ask the same things which you already use in your answers.
that helped me in my answers but you never know competition is very high. be confident I think I was shaking a bit

And one more thing I observed that they were conducting Interview in Urdu so you have to be more cautious in replying. because at least in Urdu you don't need to panic. They will be looking at the confidence. its my observation. May ALLAH be with you in difficult times. Good Luck

I think my interview went okay.

5 panelists were there and yesterday 34 were interviewed as in attendance sheet serial no. started from 35. If this is any cue, total 102 candidates would be have been interviewed tomorrow by this time. Federal govt. quota system is applicable. 7% from Sindh Urban will be selected. I asked from one of the persons supervising interviews.

What type of questions were the people from engineering fields asked as they have no background knowledge of economics related material?

Well, well, well...Engineers at risk...i don't know one thing about banking...gotta research a couple of things but its still difficult...got problems with terminology...May be i should try to lead the interviewers into my strongest area but its still banking not engineering...open ended answers might help...
