That is exactly what i would like to inform fellow aspirants about... For non business background students interview would not be tough as they cannot ask exactly technical questions so all of the burden will lie upon your power to convince the panel why you want to leave your professional career and your general knowledge about state bank.. i scored 84 marks last year but was rejected for in my opinion for the sole reason that i failed to convince the panel about my dedication.

@sohaib so what should we say that why are we useful for them and why should they hire us?

In my opinion the are usually looking for people who wouldnt jump ships in near future so the reject any casual strollers, you will have to convince them why you like this job and prefer it over what you studied for, answer might be different depending on your specialization but job security, good working environment , and your commitment for making a banking carrier for yourself might attract their attention....dont ever say that you dislike your field or fedup of it..

I appeared in Karachi Center on 5th January.
First I received a Letter around 7-10 days before Interview and then I received an email as well that too around 7 days ago and then on friday/saturday I received a call too from SBP.

So I was informed very well by SBP via all sources.

Well why should we hire you was not the question on day 1 at least.
I was 27th on the list to be interviewed, few people did inform us about the questions they were asking and no one told us about such a general question to be asked and neither was I asked this question. But I belong to Business field so maybe they asked from non-business candidates.

I wouldn't have been able to answer them had I been asked such a question. it is very important question in interviews.

You may call SBP HR department, and ask them as we really don't know when is Lahore's turn. Might as well prepare for it without getting worried about the date. You'll get the call when the time is right! Either ways, if you really can't wait, SBP personnel are really cooperative and the will surely help you in this regard, call them!

That's certainly terrible.Even after scoring 84,you were rejected.I'm losing my confidence after hearing that.
