I think, the revised regrouping is technically intelligent approach for bureaucrat recruitment. They have given more importance to technical and less to non-technical.
Well, Is it only me who finds the revised syllabus super exciting?

There should have been screening test instead of such illogical group combination. But don't loss hope, gird up your loins and start preparation asap.
I request to seniors to suggest the right combination of subjects which i have put in slashes.
being an Engineer, my expected subject combination is:

IR / Political Science 200
Pub. Adm. / Town planing 100
Sindhi 100
USA History 100
Int. Law 100

Being student of Software Engineer and having acute interest in social sciences subjects, what I feel personally is that, physical sciences subjects marks should always be 100 for the simple fact that in the duties of bureaucracies the officers does not have to deal with the technical aspects.

Similiary social sciences subjects marks should always be 200 which have direct impact on our society and country regarding policy making. The minimum technical knowledge required is already covered in General Science.

As it is said in Army life; we are not here to make scholars, we are here to make soldiers. Same wisdom must be applied to CSS rules, regulations and syllabus.

And worst part is, since 1981 Our syllabus did not get updated uptill now!
