Salam to all,

I am an Engineer by proffession & now i am planning to go for CSS 2014. I am Interested in the subjects like Islamic History & Culture, Indo-Pak History etc. My background is technical i only have basic study these subjects in Pre-FSc classes. So, i wana know how much level of study i need to cop up these kind of subjects.?? Is your Education background influence your choice of subjects...???

buddy,you will have to primarily take into consideration your interests.if u have interest plus aptitude for a particular subject you can do wonders in relatively shorter span of time

Default I am a pharmacy student
assalam-o-alaikum!
I am new to this forum kindly guide me how to prepare for this exams as i heard from many individuals that it is too much tough.I need help in english,my english is so much weak honestly speaking I read the book"exploring the world of English" but i feel so difficulty regarding paragraph writing. Kindly Senior guide me please

waalaikumasalam!
First of all choose your optionals according to your interest and aptitude. For that purpose go through the syllabus and past papers. I think CSS is not that tough. You can do it. Your english is not that bad. For improving it read dawn newspaper daily especially its editorials. High school english grammar by Wren n Martin will also be helpful. Practice writing a paragraph daily. and get it checked by a good teacher of english. That will help you a lot.

Question optional subjects yet i have decided is
Islamic history and culture
Psychology
??????????
i am still confused which 3rd one subject should i choose and kindly tell me that my subject combination is either good as well as scoring or not?

Its FSc-Pre Engineering
Not Pre-FSc.
Second they effect definitely.
But intrest can increase your sucess chances in CSS if you opt those subjects which you have mentioned.

The two subjects you have chosen are good and scoring. For the remaining 200 marks, you can choose one of the following
Arabic (200)
Geography (200)

or you can choose two of the following
publi ad (100)
journalism (100)
sociology (100)
Int Law (100)
sindhi (100)

I think pol science is a lengthy subject. Choose it only if you have a background of that subject or you are highly interested in it and feel that you can do that easily.
