CUT OFF DATE FOR DETERMINING
THE ELIGIBILITY
2. The cut off date for determining the eligibility of the candidate in terms of age, qualifications, domicile, etc., is 31st December, 2014.
AGE-LIMITS
3(i). A candidate for admission to the examination must have attained the age of 21 years and not over 28 years on 31st December, 2014 (i.e. a candidate born on or before 31st December 1986 and on or after 2nd January, 1994 will not be eligible), except the candidate falling in the categories mentioned in Rule-3(ii) where any candidate born on or before 31st December, 1984 and born on or after 2nd January, 1994 will not be eligible.
Adding 1 year to these figures will do nothing but create confusion...

The method I suggested by simply calculating your age on 31st Dec for any specific CE-Exam through given age calculator link, is the easiest one...

It will simplify everything including the confusing words of the statement of the said rule.

Thanks Incounternable. But this is difficult to digest. If it really does mean not a day over 28 years, they should mention it clearly...

Check this Calculator. Is this site official? It doesn't even give you an extra year if you were born on Dec 31st... Seems to be accounting for hours, minutes and seconds after 31st Dec, 12am... lol!

What more should FPSC do to make it clear that "age on 31st Dec should be less than 28 years"... ??

The information I provided is authentic and you can also confirm it from FPSC.

I guess it will be easy to digest when you'll confirm it from FPSC...

And the calculator you provided gives correct info. But it makes it confusing when it says for the next 1/2 year... but in brackets it is correct....

Regards,
Stay Blesses.

Correction:

Not "less than 28 years" but "not over 28 years"...

Anytime Sir!

I have studied the FPSC rules for 2015. In that sense, less than 28 years is a much better way to put it...

So Everyone, You should be LESS THAN 28 years of Age when applying for CSS, which means if you were born in the year 1988 you're in for CSS Examinations in 2016. Otherwise, Allaah has something much saner in store for you!

Sorry you are not eligible... everyone having dob in 1987 is no more eligible for CE-Exams except in cases of age relaxation...

This includes me too... 06-08-1987

Brother since there was confusion regarding authentic calculator that is why I copy pasted the rule. Just for conformation
You all should apply for age relaxation if your are govt. servants or special categorie or either belong to specific tribes mentioned in rules.
