National Officers Academy and Kips Islamabad are good academies of this area......first go through the syllabus of all optional subjects and then take a suitable decision about it...

i ve been to superior universitys institute of public administration and policy studies for css and pms.....over there three teachers were teaching englisg including mr.ikram ul haq...miss saman rai....dmg and prof.bukhari..this department is really doing well... i also attended lectures by mr shamshad ahmed on foriegn policy, oria maqbool jan on balouchistan crisis, qayyum nizami in political system of pakistan and sibghat mansoor on economy of pakistan an d he is an ex federal sec..on the other hand i also attend lecture by birg.ghazanfar former Dg MI...ssp kamran adil also delivered lecture on police order.dr.aitezaz delivered lecture on interview tactics....i dont think so any other academy in lahore is offering such standardised lectures.....its my stance so anybody can surely differ.thannks
I hope you had a wonderful time at Superior university's school of CSS.i am a CSS-2010 aspirant.

Your plaudits in favour of Superior university heightened my curiosity.I talked to miss rabia of superior college a few days ago.Well, she was willing to hand over the notes that many speakers had submitted.please tell me about the content of the material that were given to you.

I plan to give some mock interviews to Mr.Shamshad ahmed khan.Unfortunately,i couldn't join the interview session because my study schedule didn't permit me to do so.Please tell me that did anyone of the candidates give any mock interviews? just for my personal information.

please if you get time then post the summary of material available to you.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Dear, I guess you have travelled from qta to lhr for the sake of preparation. If so, then why are you waisting your time. Perhaps, you are in a dillema as to join which academy.

First of all let me put one thing very straight forward: i.e. the academies just show you a pathway to walk on and afterwards these are only your efforts that take to the acme of success. However, one should join academy in the early stages but not for more than a couple of months or so.

Once you become familier with the whole syllabi, collected reading material and awared yourself with the paper solving techniques, leave that particular academy and devote yourself whole heartedly for studies for the rest of the time. Otherwise, it is a full wastage of time and money.

As regards the selection of any institution, you should visit both, the toppers and officers, by yourself and, ultimately, make a decision.

In my point of view, officers academy is a good choice if you have geography and indo-pak history as your optionals. They also satisfied my in the compulsories like Everyday science, Current aff and Pak aff. I don't have any idea about rest of the subjects being taught at officers academy.

The drawback of officers academy is that they pay less attention to the most important compulsory subjects of English (just a class in a week). On the contrary, sir saleem of toppers academy focuses well on English but the rest of the subjects are not taught well there.

Anyways, you may not get an ideal atmosphere anywhere. Avail yourself with all the opportunities provided to you.

In the last, my humble advice to you is that keep yourself in touch with this forum. It is a valuable source of knowledge that would help you in many ways.

Regards . . .

@ Brother Zarmal

In my humble opinion i would recommend you to join KIPS,Officers or any other academy.my reasons for giving this suggestion are

You will come into contact with different people
you will enter into a group
you will come to know the nature of competition
you can learn all the golden rules and judge your performance by giving test
you can get the requisite socialisation
you can leave the academy at will.
you can get notes
and above all you will gain enormous confidence.

And everybody joins academy.Everybody at least pays a visit to one or two academies.I can't reveal facts but you will have to trust me Brother.

Regards.
