Postal officers have no power and authority and indeed no social status too. Three days ago, a grade 18 officer of postal was slavIshly requesting my PMS colleague for the 'special' treatment of his relative in hospital. PMS offIcers do dIctate terms to Postal ones when they are posted In fIeld. Postal officers, few of them, dictate their terms to them only when they are posted in provincial secretariats on deputations and that's too on 'sifarish' which is indeed an evil thing. Only a DMG offIcer can be a boss of PMS one. I don't want to disparage Postal but the fact is fact. Yes, postal is a good group if you want peace of mind and secluded environment. Edge is only for DMG, PSP, FSP and Customs.

Name the person who told you that postal and Railway are better than PMS. I have never heard any PMS officer or Indeed a sane CSS one saying that before. I have never felt that PMS officers are lesser than postal, OMG and railway ones during my several years of service in Punjab Secretariat.
Customs is a Royal Group because of corruption alone and some people like me don't like it. It's my personal preference, you may like Customs. I would prefer PMS over customs but it is my personal preference. Yes, most of the people in our society prefer customs. You can understand the reason behind it. After first four groups of CSS, PMS is indeed better.
DCO is far more powerful than a CEO so no match between MLCG and PMS and OMG is perhaps the worst group when it comes to facilities. You have to service as a section officer for more than a decade and only few officers climb up to become federal secretaries. Most of the federal secretariat seats are occupied by DMG. I can name you several PMS officers who stayed in PMS instead of going to OMG, POSTAL and even PAAS. They are quite happy here.
There is no bulk of Halal money in postal. Who told you that ? You are only entitled to monthly salary.
I have never said that FSP is lesser than PMS. Foreign Service is indeed far better than PMS in every aspect.

Brother respectable mansoor1980, yousafzai, ziaurrehman, anwersadaat etc (39th common) are among those who cleared PMS with flying colors but restricted themselves to css cadres despite the fact that any one of the said CSP's did not get allocation in PSP, DMG or FSP but respectively get allocated into IRS, OMG and PRCT which is voilation of law in your dairy according to my perception. I think they all will know more better than you being entrants in CSA. SO I am very dumbfounded that why they have opt for choosing the wrong way for theirselves while being the crim of the society.

Well Sir.Ali Raza who is a PMS Officer and currently in training had told me that it will be beyond insane if someone sacrifice the postal or railway of css for the sake of pms. i can give his mobile number as well if need further clarification.

Besides all the aforesaid 2 days ago i met with sakk, respectable member of the forum (40th comm IRS) whom i asked the question of superiority of css cadres over pms then he also added that each and every group of css is far better than pms. so dear brother now decide that who is misguiding the other members of the forum me or you.

I haven't heard of these offices in Punjab. They must be from KPK. PMS of KPK has different issues than the PMS of Punjab. Security situation, difference between ACO & DDO(R)'s cadare system and provIncIal bIas affects theIr choIce. However, they have made a bad choice specially the folks of OMG and PRCT. TheIr choice must be affected by their personal considerations instead of hard realities. Ask them why they preferred IRS, OMG, and PRCT and then tell me what they say. I guarantee you, they can't give you any solid technical reasons for preferring theIr current statuses.
Look at a factual picture.
1) IRS Good group but promotions are slow after the current reforms. First ten years are difficult and there are hardly any facilities specially in big cities. Concerned with only revenue system.
2) PRCT
this group is in tatters now. Specially after the current situation of railway and the technical bias which gives non-CSP s of railway I.e. the engineers, the same horizontal and lateral space which is enjoyed by csps.
3) OMG
It is unfortunately the worst group in terms of perks and privileges. One has to serve as section officer for approximately 10 years with no perks and least authority. Promotions are very slow due to lateral entrants and future is unsustainable after 18th amendment. Political backing is needed for deputations.

Now look at PMS

4) PMS It is mini-DMG. However, It has slow promotions but officers now manage to become Secretaries. It has administrative, judicial, quasi-legislative, revenue and police powers.

Now, honestly tell isn't PMS the better of the three specially the OMG and PRCT ones?? Dont misguided other my bro and don't make assumptions. Furthermore, don't try to tell me what happens in CSA. I already know everything.

i think PMS situation in punjab totally different than PMS kpk and other provinces.

PMS punjab service structure is better than PMS of any other province.

why you used words like cycle for pms and ferrari for css who gave you the right to degrade one service and by the way a csp is not something out of this world who cannot be criticized and respect is earned by ones deeds and actions and not by passing just one exam by a stroke of luck and then getting lucrative posts by bending over backwards to please the politicians i stand by my words and can give proofs with names about the immoral and corrupt dmg officers and i must clarify that i am not against any group of css except dmg which has ruined all other groups in its quest to rob Pakistan

well both are good.. lets not make it an issue.. Candidates have to compete and in a very tough competition they get into these services.. now if one criticize each other cadres or groups.. THIS is quiet immature and should be avoided.

and i agree moderators should check such posts as this creates a bad impression if not, i see chances of another debate starting between PMS KPK v PMS punjab..

to the thread starter
all services, as i said before are good and you will enjoy the status of being a competent man forget about anything else..
