You should first go through the syllabus of both...If you are able to absorb 30 to 40(percent) of either crimonolgy or philosophy then you should go with that particular subject with whom you find harmony. Btw whats your background?

Criminology needs extensive reading and vast surfing of internet while IL is easy, short and scoring. More importantly, IL can be prepared from at most 2 books plus within 20 days.

Go for criminology then. It is better than philosophy not scoring wise but also subject matter wise. It is interesting. Philosophy highly rough subject.

If you are equally interested then go with scoring trend. Check score trend chart.
