Im gonna go with:
1) Pol science (Not willingly, was running out of options)
2) Governance and public policies (Syllabus looks interesting, kinda similar to pol science)
3) Philosophy (It revolves around personalities and their philosophies/theories)
4) Journalism and mass communication (I have been following media industry, this is something I can write on)
5) Gender studies (like to know more about feminism and mera jism meri marzi )

P.S I don't believe in scoring trends! If you perform well, you will get the marks.

Good combo. Just read some pages of international law before opting it. I think there is about different technique when one takes law as an optional. If you are comfortable table with its wording and can solve it's last papers then go with it. I had int law as my optional. It's easy subject too ,and very interesting one. But ,all those cases ,vocabulary and mainly this thing that had to remember a lot of stuff made me change it. But still it's a very interesting subject that's for sure.

Now a days there is nothing like scoring trend really. Even if it's a thing like scoring trend. Then , we don't know really that which subject will be more scoring in coming year. So ,it's better to go with your aptitude and interests. If you are good with remembering a lot of things then US history is your go. Otherwise Gender studies. This thing is true that in histories, there is certain level of scores, you can't go above them. Though there are some good scores coming in both subjects in last some years. It's upto you really.

Yes it's worth opting it if you have any kind of background in it. Maybe if you have done bachelor's in mathematics or if you are an engineer and studied it.. I mean electrical or mechanical engineering etc. Where you study high level mathematics. Look at its past papers ,then you will get an idea that you can solve then or not. Thus thing is sure that you can score very high score in it. 180,190. But ,at the same time if things go wrong then you will get nothing. But, at the end , it's worth taking as an optional if you are good at it.

I have Engineering background... I examined syllabus and then passed paper it seems good i mean it is not difficult but its practice is cumbersome. Additionally, i have no idea how much candidates are scoring in it..

Can you tell me yeh difference kyun hai? Is Public Ad. better for students who have a background in it or can new students pick up if they go through the concepts properly?

Read some good stuff related to these subjects. I think economica is a tricky subject in this combo if you have not studied it before. Look at its syllabus and past papers, then you will get general idea . Just start reading English newspapers,be it dawn or the news or maybe tribune. It's upto you really. And with it read some good journals. Get subscription of economist. If you can't then join any good library . There nearly all journals and magazines are available to study. Basically you have to just read some awesome stuff on these subjects.

It seems like you are a chemistry graduate. If it's true then good convoy. Best of luck brother
actually i am not I have done masters in Physiology and i looked into the past papers and changed it with IR
