1. Public Administration - A Pakistan Perspective by Sultan Khan 2. Exam Cram Series of Public Administration Jahangir Series 3. MCQ preparation from Exam Cram book 4. Last 10 years papers MCQ preparation. This is enough to place yourself near 70 in PA, however if you attempt paper with good presentation you can expect more. This is a good scoring subject, do draw diagrams in papers where you feel is necessary and can elaborate your answer well. |

@ Sakk
Please suggest the time required to cover Pub Admin. Plus generally speaking, is it an interesting subject or a bit dull as pointed out by a fellow here? Or is it that it require an aptitude to excel in? Thanks.

To cover Public Ad comprehensively you need to cover 12 chapters from Sultan Khan book and one chapter can be very easily covered in one day if you prepare it extensively. Next you have to go through Exam Cram book, so it will require one read from you as basic concepts are covered from Sultan Khan book in detail and he has covered it in good depth. This one read will take one week from you. Then prepare MCQ from Cram serious will consume 4 days and last ten years papers will need 2 days at maximum. So in total within 25 days you will master public administration to a level which will place you above 65 marks. I am basically an engineer so I found it very interesting and a plus point it can give you that you have to study Public Ad in CSA as well as it teaches you about whole administration structure of Pakistan, how the administration machinery works and suppose to work, what is the authority graph associated with administration ranks. Moreover who is responsible to whom and a complete theoritical background through the theories of Karl Marx and Beureaucratic models. I have found it very interesting subject but those who are from arts or literature background may find it very dull and rough subject =-) I hope this information will give you good insight into the subject. Please feel free to ask any questions if you have, I will be happy to assist.

So one book is enough and in my earlier post to Muser I have mentioned in detail that 20 to 25 days are maximum enough to prepare Public Ad and you will find yourself in good position. Still if you have questions please don't hesitate to contact me here.
