Question Stupid Question

I have this very stupid question. So dn't laugh at me. Ok so here goes. there are some abbreviations that i don't know the full form of like PSC, PSP, CSP, and some more. plz someone tell me the full form. and one more thing , the fact is that I'm somewhat in a position where I'm still choosing a proffession.

So I know a lot about ISI, a bit about CSS, a little about FPS, and nothing about the rest of the fields (if there are any). What d u guys think will be the right sort of place for a person like me who wants a proffession involving : adventure, loyalty to the country, luxury, and some more service to the country. Please send ur views. I'm just an honest pakistani who can use her (forgive me) good brains, to serve her country.plz tell me gud advices!!

CSS stands for Central Superior Services. Its a common term for all those who pass out the exam.

PSP - Police Service of Pakistan

CSP - Central Superior Services

PCS - Provincial Civil Services

ISI - Inter-Services Intellegence.

All these jobs needs motivated and Serious personals. These are not for fun and recreation. Moreover, these jobs are not to verify one's loyalty and honesty. One must me loyal and honest with oneself first!

Your question is not a matter of stupidity but a matter of ignorance or confusion as some would like to reiterate it in this way, so no need to become embarrassed while asking questions, ask whatever u wanna ask , this is a way towards knowledge, towards light, well at present i am preparing for css but when i started few months back i myself was not aware of csp's parlance. So Keep asking, its a healthy attitude.

@Mia
There is no such stupid question as u aforementioned , abbreviations were new to u infact and my respected brothers have already thrown light on them in preceding posts . Considering the second portion of ur question concerning LOYALITY , ADVENTURE and LUXURY .
Very well,as far as my knowledge is concerned loyality depends on the person whichever field u may select , coming to adventure : try hiking and hunting , lolz just kidding , hmmm join psp group (depends on luck) whether u fell in this group or not , choice of the toppers of CSS . And now Luxury , sorry to say that u need to go to UAE , UK , try these countries for luxury because here i dont think that u can avail it, keeping in view the real meaning of LUXURY LIFE, !! There is another option , FSP group : a perfect luxury life u can spend if u fell in this group after clearing CSS . SEE !!
U need to burn the midnight oil if u want ur dreams come true . And ofcourse u can do best for ur country if u join civil services.

@Hassan Abdul Gaffar
Hassan bhai dont make me ur ideal , as i am yesterday's born and naive .
There are far better aspirants than i such as sureshlasi , muskan ,amy ,wounded healer ,marshal ,prieti and many more u will come across with , i am mentioning the name so that u pm them for any kind of help, if they by chance miss to see ur post .
Dont get tensed and just relax , what i can suggest u from my little knowledge is : read newspaper daily (dawn recommended) , explore an authentic book for english with consistency and use oxford dictionary for word searching .Rest is upto u , that is practice and more practice . U can post any further query related any subject concerning CSS . Seniors will soon figure out ur problem . and dont forget to explore the section of english grammar in this forum where u can find ur most of the answers .
take care

Post Thanks all

Thanku Tauqeer Kurd and higuys for ur encouragement. Actually ( not ignoring the status os CSS ) I was more leaning towards ISI. SInce 9/11 I have been more than willing to join the ISI thinking that I could make a difference. (well i know that isn't possible) I know that there is a lot of luxury in FSP (thanks to Shahid Seehar) but even then I'm not persuaded towards this field. Thanku Desert Fox for the full forms. and I guess ur right about honesty.

But for some time, just for some time, convince urself that the most hardworking and intelligent people are in the ISI. They whack their brains 24/7 and have restrictions more than any other normal proffessional does. Then, dont u think, that this kind of person needs a good pay for all his/her tremendous efforts? And I had this querry: I heard many people say that ISI agents are not allowed to leave the country and they are monitored 24/7,infact some peple even disrecommended me to join up because they say life becomes a bundle of misery for you once you're in. Well, so what? I have a firm intention to enter ISI. But is all this true?

It feels good to see the prompt and candid replies of all the members,
It's a very positive gesture towards those who feel ashamed or embarrassed of asking questions! keep up the good work,
