Best is the way that works. And we don't really know what works. But larning dictionary however doesn't make sense to me. Wide reading is what I suggest to myself and other aspirants. Words are just the "translators" of thought - memorizing thoughts rather than living and experiencing them is neither "elegant" nor expedient. Best, Deviant

Salam to All
to enhance the vocabulary,, learning dic is not better way for all of us, the best way to enhance the vocabulary is excessive reading, whether it is a novel, newspaper, poetry or whatever u like,
it is better and attractive way, and hold the concentration,, rather to learn the whole dic, in which we forgot the meaning of word immediately, while in sentence form the meaning of word has a background, which makes it is easy to learn

Reading newspaper and magazines would do the needful , jot down the words ,use electronic dictionary to search for them , use them in your writings and essays etc . Learning all of the dictionary would be a wild goose chase i guess.

In own view, BARRON'S HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE GRE TEST is the good book for augmenting vocabulary.
