islamic history and culture
public add
Islamic law
journalism
sociology

but when i went through different threads and red the comments of different successful candidates who have clear css exam i come to know that Islamic law is not scoring subject although it's course is short but scoring is very important at the same time.specially when i check your marks in psychology in both attempts and u said that its very interesting sub which convert my mind towards that and as my personal interest in that sub i am now deciding that i opt psychology instead of public add and islamic law.what do u say that i should go for psychology or should remain in the previous combination. Please guide me which is the best books for my opt subjects also share which were your selected books u found the best and helpful.
Thanks

Thank you for the appreciation, I would suggest you to go for psychology as you have rightly understood that Muslim law is a less scoring subject, if you have interest in psychology and you have no background, there is no need to get worried, you can do it even without background,,,,books will be, Sheherbano's Bsc/BA books for initial understanding and then consult Feldsman's book for making detailed notes.best of luck!

Thanx for pointing out someone's mistakes but please be very much careful while selecting the words.''mind your language'' could be replaced with some humble and neutral expression, we all are here to learn so try to guide in a nice manner

How to improve English skills:

1. Extensive reading and extensive writing are the two basic tools for improving basic English skills.
2. Always underline the new words and find out their meanings from dictionary, there is no special dictionary required for this purpose, you can consult oxford or even online dictionaries. The core purpose is to learn new words.
3. Once you have come to know their meanings, start using these newly learnt words in your everyday conversation and in your writings.Because language can't be improved without practice.
4.Reading Dawn is beneficial in all aspects, it will enhance your language skills ans well as you will be able to have command on current affairs.
5. In a room, practice loud reading, it will improve your written as well as verbal language skills, try to remove fears of English and speak it as much as you can, the first reason is ''fear''...remove it through practice and will power.
6. Write dairy on the daily basis in English....your everyday routine, your thoughts or experiences it will give you psychological impact that you are not doing it all for academic purposes...you will enjoy this practice and simultaneously you will learn.
7. After all these steps, write on different topics including current affairs issues, in this way you will have command on language, it's all about practice, har work and dedication, it will give you much more benefit as compared to the English language courses.
8. For grammatical part, consult ''Exploring the world of English'' and ''wren n martin's'' book and try to evaluate your piece of writings from English experts if possible and work on your mistakes.

All the papers have similar way of preparation as well as similar way of attempting paper, For journalism, avoid relying on bookish knowledge, explore the recent journalistic trends by practically observing print and electronic media. Make flow charts of the questions like PR process, avoiding selecting the topics like types of news etc....

For Islamic history, make your own notes based on chronological events, paper 2 is time-taking abut paper 1 is very easy as we have been studying most of the things in our Islamiyat text books. Pay special attention to objectives.
