Regards.
If you yourself have great inclination towards PSP only then put it in your options otherwise dont even think of this cramp idea...just tell how will you deal with an SHO n then decide about it

2-What kind of cases fall under the jurisdiction of such officer?

3-Whom does (s)he reports to? Senior Civil Judge or Session Judge?

4- Can such officer be repatriated by the provincial Govt with out consent of LHC?
This isnt my area but SJM are appointed by Judicial section of the Provincial Home Deptt NOT the HC...they are repoartable to Distt & Session Judge in most of the cases but it varies from case to case...No judicial allowance is given...they deal cases likes price,Railway ,LDA,WAPDA or any other matter which Provincial Govt feel necessart for SJM to look after...Since they are appointed by provincial Govts therefore their powers can be taken back whenever provincial govt feels necessary...HC nothing to do with that

sir thanks a lot lot for giving your precious time and for guiding all the aspirants.

sir it's my biggest wish of life join the PSP as ASP,,,,,,, i have some queries regarding PSP

why the seats in PSP are very limited??? means every year in css exam there are normally just 6 to 8 seats for punjab but in case of DMG the number of seats from punjab are normally from 20 to 25.

secondly if in your opinion DMG is better service than PSP then why the merit for PSP is at the top????

Thumbs down @ Razzi

-Mostly DMG but can be anyone appointed by the PM
-Can be anyone
-DMG
-PAAS
-Ishrat Hussain was the last Governor from DMG, now a days it has been from pvt sector but DMG can be posted as Governor state bank
-Secretaries General to Federal Govt is new term which I have heard today...if u mean Secretaries to Federal Govt then currently out 47 Federal Secretaries 36 are from DMG
-Can be anyone..an ex Bureaucrat mostly from DMG,an Ex-Judge or an ex-army General
-DMG
-DMG
-Political appointee
-DMG or anyone appointed by the PM

No doubt DMG is the better of the two...plz see allocations of last 3,4 years i think DMG if not better then its neck to neck...most of pple go for Police in its face value...the real structure of service becomes clear after having 5,6 years service...You said only educated people knw about CS...so u wanna b terrify the illiyerates? There is no unchecked power which Police enjoys...everything you guys have in mind is facination...most of people go for Police coz they dun hav anyone to guide them and they just jump in for uniform...remember my words...things are not that what they look on thr face...after 5 yeqrs sb shoq uttar jae ga wardi ka

Firstly the seats for DMG are between 15 to 20 for Punjab NOT 20 to 25...Moreover I have already explained that why there are 7 seats for punjab for PSP...go through my previous posts on this thread...to summarize...DMG has almost 50 BPS-22 seats whereas PSP has hardly 10 BPS-22 seqts so retruitment is done by keeping the requirement of officers in future...as a matter of fct even then DMG has the fastest rate of promotion...PSP almost 3rd in that list after PAAS

Sir Nadem, I appreciate your efforts however I would like to draw your attention to few things which you may yourself be very well aware of.

1 - It's the 3rd world countries (Pakistan being one) where police enjoys power where a constable will ridicule a PhD (or as you put it). In developed countries, Police has NO respect whatsoever. The "Respect" word used in my statement here does not means "RESPECT" in its literal sense but you know what It meant, I am sure

2 - People in Pakistan does NOT respect police, they fear them.

3 - With time when Pakistan will be more developed and more people will be educated and more people will be well versed with the law, no one will Fear Police.

4 - Police too like other CSP's are CSPs and CSP means civil SERVANT of pakistan, they are mere servants and should act like them.

5 - Some people don't join PSP just because of the power (or as you say, the power that is ASSUMED to be given to a PSP) but they join it to serve the country and to experience what it takes to fight crime and criminals in an environment of "PRESSURES" as you explained.

I too am a css aspirant and aspiring for PSP, I'll have only 1 choice when I'll appear in examination and that will be PSP Alone. Yes, I want to join it for power.. Power that is LEGAL and is my right to have and to use against the oppressors and to help the oppressed.
