Well OMG officers are posted as Section Officer (SO) in BPS-17 & 18...promotiin used to be ultra slow but for 37th,38th & 39th CTP the induction into OMG have been more than 35 officers in every of these commons...it will make promotions slow for later commons...the good thing about OMG is thqt an officer can spend all his life in Islamabad, getting an official house in isb for an OMG officer before BPS-19,20 would b an uphill task...All major sectt postings are held by DMG officers because of better training ,exposure and foreign courses.

Roughly speaking, out of 47 federal secretaries; 36 are from DMG, others include Foreign Office & Defence which are always held by respective deptts

OMG is a better group for femalew...talking about training diffm OMGhas only three months secretariat training whereas DMG study secretariat subjects,Public Admin, economicsCPC,CRPC,PPC,Land Revnue,Law f Evidence,Law f inheritence,,Aquisition act etc

Without comparing it with any other group then it is a good group, their salary is normal of equal grades and official car is hard to get before BPS-19..Salaries are high inly in field jobs of PSP n DMG and in case of FBR;PCS n IRS have double salaru

Thank you Mr. Nadeem for such informative posts. You really have done great favor for the CSS aspirants.
Can you kindly elaborate your point of view about DMG and PSP officers as lawyers? It is a bit confusing. Are you also having a law degree..? I have heard that License of lawyers issued by the Bar Council are cancelled after the joining of the service. Is it true.??
There is one more issue I would like to clarify... If one puts Police Service of Pakistan as his second option after DMG as suggested by you, can one be rejected on the medical grounds? What should one do in case of weak eye sight?? Are the PSP officer supposed to have a strict vigorous training before their posting.??

Default Pestigious

If you look at my posts you will come to know that I NEVER recommended ANYONE to go for PSP...for the reasons i have mentioned above regarding one has to deal with Police, aDMG officer can deal with that equally well. and DMGhas much more peace mind than police (except some postings) and peace of mind of 36th CTP guy dat is exaggeration too

about paisa phenk thing...u urself are saying dat u r a law abifing citizen, which law allows this bribery thing...IF someone is in police he can ensure that he gets his right, i am NOT saying about misuing the power...so think about your contradictions in statements. (Personally i dun recommend anyone to go for PSP ...I recommend DMG

Ofcourse I know about the training procedure...ASP (UT) is posted in field for six months, then elite training, then 2 months further posting and then.1 year FC attachnt, and after that they get their FIRST independent posting

Moreover you asked me about MY opinion regarding Phd vs CSP...so that was MY personal opinion..but i think i never invited your opinion...if u have difference of opinion u can n hav right to have it but no need to tell me unless i ask for it...

Moreover if u look at my previous posts...i hav mentioned that seek the opinion of atleast 10 CSPs having experience of around 10 years and i dun think 36th CTP guy has anything to do with CSPs ovrrall attitude and life style, then.hw can you conclude "after reading my posts n that young PSP of 36th CTP"

Law practise means to have law practise after retirement or after resigning from service..yes Bars cancel license after you join the service..I am an Electrical Engineer by profession but STP of PSP gets Bsc in Crminology, then i did Msc (Criminal Justice ) from Michigan State University
Medical requirement for PSP n DMG ae 100% same...both trainings are very rigorous...

One medical exam is for all...nothing special for PSPs...Sir Nadeem would further confirm this, whenever he would be around
