Assalam-o-alaikum!

After qualifying the competitive exam and getting allocated to any ocupational group, all the civil servants are initially placed on probation...means k they are not confirm officers. They have to complete their probationary period successfully....only then they are confirmed to the civil service and a right to service is established.

The criterion for successful confirmation is:

1. For Income Tax Group and Customs&Excise Group:
a) Successful completion of CTP (i.e. exam at the CSA should be passed).
b) Successful completion of STP (i.e. exam at the respective DOT should be passed).
c) Success in Final Passing Out Exam (conducted by FPSC)
d) Successful completion of MBA(Tax Mgt) at the IBA, Karachi.

2. For All the other Groups and Services:
a) Successful completion of CTP (i.e. exam at the CSA should be passed).
b) Successful completion of STP (i.e. exam at the respective institutes should be passed).
c) Success in Final Passing Out Exam (conducted by FPSC)

It doesn't matter if anyone has already completed MBA or ANY other degree....MBA (Tax) at IBA is a must for Income Tax and Customs people....without completing that, one doesn't win a right for being posted as a BS-17 officer.

Period b/w CSA and STP

It depends on every training institute....some STP's start within 7 days after the completion of CTP....others may take 20-25 days. Every year it changes.

Period b/w STP and MBA (Tax)
Usually 5-7 days are there.....but sometimes(like this year) MBA starts even the very next day of STP. Depends on IBA's schedule.

MBA (Tax) will continue till 2010 at least...coz FBR has already entered into a contract with IBA for next 2 years....best of luck!

The final exams for CTP are conducted by the Civil Services Academy...FPSC only conducts the Final P.O. Exams for STPs. There are 3 chances to pass the FPOE for every candidate....most of the people make it in the first attempt....otherwise 2nd or 3rd chance mein success mil jaati hai.
However, one loses seniority among batch mates if one doesn't pass it in the first attempt.

Plan for Harvard Bus. School etc. is not final as yet....at least not for 34th Common.

Best of Luck for ur interview...!

Assalam-o-alaikum!

Thanx for the prayers!

1. Hostel....it is not mandatory during STP. During CTP it used to be optional...but i heard k this year the DG of CSA has made it mandatory....i hope someone from 34th or 35th STP would let us know of the actual position.

2. During CTP: The salary (after all the deductions) = Rs. 4000/-
During STP: It is around 12000 (if hostel facility not availed)
otherwise Rs.8000?-
During MBA : Same as during STP (12000/- for day scholars and hostelites)
All these figures are approx....500 ziyada ya kam ho sakta hai.

3. During job: Income Tax and Customs people get around Rs. 22000/-
Heard that DMG people get around 9000/- who avail the govt.
residence facility.....others might be getting around 14000/-
Again....all the figures are approximations....500+- ho sakta hai

4. Most of the candidates keep ITG at 5th and Audit&Accounts at
6th....choice varies from person to person.....!

Exclamation salary during CTP & STP

Please endorse your argument about salary during CTP & STP by providing conclusive & supportive evidence.
is it possible for a person, belonging to a lower middle class, to support his family during this period of training by any other fair means?
If your information is true ,then let me express my feelings:
This is an EXPLOITATION

I think there is some misunderstanding!

Thanks
