Duration of OMG used to be shortest of all STPs. It was 3 moths. But D.G STI ANwarul Haq Bukhari, who himself was an OMG officer of 20 Grade, Made following Changes to STP of OMG officers in 2011.

1. STP duration was enhanced from 3 to 6 months.
2. New subjects were introduced to give new officers a new scope.
3. Introduced outside study tours and invited high profiles for lectures. For example: 38th, 39th and 40th CTP /OMGians were led to Suprem court and were introduced to Cheif justice Iftikhar choudry. Many federal Dept HQ visited example: Parliament( National Assembly and senate ,national Archive of pak, Exchange commission of pak, Chambers of commerce, Kamra, at Attock, metrological dept etc etc..
4. A.Cs in all rooms and computers installed in room..
5 Guest nights/shows,,

Dining Mess is free. IRS, audit and accounts foreign service, postal PSP etc pay the bills of meals in STPs.

STI is under process of change. It will soon emerge to be a great Training Institute.

Officers like you will demand new things and will one day Head it.
