dear, i believe the panel does not know about your choice in the form you filled. you will get another form in a few days, and that is the first information that they will have about your preference. you will be required to fill another 2 preference forms and any subsequent changes will be accounted for.

Any senior please confirm it!

I kept on switching my preferences and they give you plenty of opportunities but the last one is on the day of your final viva. I switched my first preference to DMG from PSP before viva but they didn't really care about the change even though I was prepared to answer any questions related to this.

If they could have asked you

Why you first opted for PSP and now changed to DMG then what would have been your answe, which you had prepared for?????

N vicerversa, if you had kept DMG and changed it to PSP and they had asked question what would have been your reply?????

Dear bro!!

I need ur tender advice. If Panel ask us which subject among your optionals you like the most. What should we go with and Which subject should i mention. If e.g somebody says history then history is so vast they can sk from anywhere???

What was your mode of preparation for your optionals, did you prepare them as you did for written portion i mean all and sundry???

How would you respond if they ask why you selcted these very subjects when your background is somewhat in finance or engineering etc...?

Why do you want to join civil services, any reason behind it doing it at early age???

Your postgraduate is still in process, though your degree will be few weeks to go by your interview but shouldnt you have prepared it when you would have got free from your education??? Why you did it meanwhile???

Dear respected senior csps and 38th commoners in particular, i need your compact answers on it. I know these will take sometime but i need these questions in moderate and compact form so that i could make my own answers in the light of given by you. I would have some proforma to make my own then. Will be very thankful to you guys....

1.DMG provides versatility in terms of job nature, mobility and opportunities to go for higher education like Ph.D. in Economics or Public Policy. One can do good for the country at many fronts from properly administering a city to making energy or environment policy etc.

2.For PSP: The uniform attracts one as well as the ability to provide quick justice to people. It is the enforcement wing of policy/judicial decisions so one can eliminate many crimes and social evils blah blah.

My reply would've been that I was impressed by my uncle who is a PSP officer and wanted to do all the good things of (2) in uniform but after a detailed study of every group I came to know that DMG is better for me due to 1.

1.Mode of Preparation:
Went through the main definitions and headings. Read stuff only if it required revision and trying to understand the concepts I skipped for the written.

2. I considered the study of subjects I chose more important for my job as a CSP officer than the ones I studied for my engg degree. Plus most of the math/physics topics in CSS syllabus weren't the ones we studied for our degree since we study stuff from application point of view rather than doing the proofs n all in B.Sc.

3. I had a job in Telenor which was financially more attractive but I gave that up for the prestige and status of a CSP. So that's how I prioritized the money and status. Yes a childhood dream and desire to serve country also had something to do with it. I was eventually going to do it so I didn't want to lose sight of my ambition for a short term gain.

4. No clue since I didn't get the question
