Medical test for ASI will be of
1) Height which should be at least 5.7
2) Chest measuring should not be less then 32 inch
3) Running 1 mile in 7 minutes
But all these condition can be changed or relaxed by IGP.

For constables medical test is same.But running test is conducted before other medical tests and its very much neccesary to pass it.

Dear Abid bhai main PC ke liye select hogaya hoon medical wagera bhi hogaya & ASI ka written exam bhi clear kar liya hai ab ASI ka interview rehta hai please help me ke mujhe kya karna chahiye PC ki training join karlon phir agar interview clear hojata hai & final merit list main naam aajata hai tu main ASI join kar sakta hoon ? Please procedure agar apko pata hai tu batao ke PC ki training ke doran agar mujhe ASI ka medical or appointment letter mil jata hai tu mujhe kahan jana hoga kya karna hoga aur kya PC ki training ke doran mujhe interview ke liye chutti mil jayegi uske liye kya karna hota hai please urgent hai....

Sorry brother now i see your post.
First congratulation for selection as a constable.Now answer of your question is this that you can join any job at any time during your police service.
when we were at training for probation course. there were also some ASI,s who were previously constables in Police department.After selection they left there job and joined us on ASI training.

Dear Abid bhai ap Police department se ho ap ASI ki salary, mara'aat wagera ke bare main batao jaise medical, house, petrol, wagera ka batao and duty timing wagera ka batao detail main plz...
