Here he stood,with a glass of venom that would cease his existence.This story of Socrates has been repeated endlessly in this world of 'Cro-magnons'.The crime of geniusness--- a culpable crime indeed---has invariably resulted in the misery of him who possessed this 'worthless' blessing.Why be a man of intellect among ignorant beasts? why be a man of integrity among the rapacious capitalists?That indeed is a folly to be wise where ignorance is bliss. However,the Socrates' Athens had a number of ignorant souls who condemned his blessed mind,yet none is mentioned in the annals of history save the wise philosopher himself. Does this refute the very thesis of being a fool among fools? How can damnation and prosecution justify in silencing the cognitive cognizence and keeping it hindered? if so be the case, the religious bigots that confined and tortured the brain of his age, the exalted Galileo, were very much justified. They could rightly assert the doctrine No-wise-among-ignorants and get the intelligent scientist executed!
There would have been no Renaissance,no Reformation and no revolutions would have materialised,had those with an understanding feigned ignorance when called to fight the dark ages of barbarism. The Rousseau's man would still be struggling with his chains and the Hobbesian state of nature still persisting.
