How many words of English Vocabulary are sufficient for CSS Exams & Interview ???

Round about ten lakh. Just joking.

Why are you limiting the scope of english vocabulary. There's an endless world of knowledge related to every subject. We cannot put limitations.


In case of CSS vocabulary portion is devised for analysing the analytical skills of aspirants
in english speaking.

For getting efficiency in vocabulary, one must read english newspapers, hidhlight the new and strange words, elaborate them. Its the matter of knowledge not of words and books.

Around 1500 GRE words are great.Assuming that you already have a good grasp over English Language.
Download GRE wordlist and memorize them

In addition to above quote, if you have an android phone, download the application named "Painless GRE."

Quizzes etc. of that app will help you memorize words anywhere, anytime.
