The performance of the government in social sector of Pakistan is poor. The institutions responsible for providing services for well-being of the people, are facing the severe crisis of mismanagement and corruption. This crisis has caused under-utilization of the funds and negligenceUnder-utilization and negligence of funds, eventually leading to the poor status of(skip it) standard of livingliving standard. Such indications are also given by the international institutions. Irony is that,Ironically, there is no lack of natural resources but lack of policy management and its execution. Except some little improvements nothing concrete is done. All this would go on unless the leadership evolve anytowards right direction and give some creative inputs to manage the basic problems of the people. Hey ur topic is good, so is ur precis. But in the eve of making longer sentences u have commited some mistakes which are nominal, practice them, and make short sentences u can get good marks in precis writing..... Regards

The conduct of human beings in their life is suffers from two extremes, psychoses & neuroses. In psychoses, the human ego is suppressed so much so that he is unable to develop his own opinion, like & dislike about the goal of life. In such a condition he is unable to direct himself to the goal of his own interest & adopts animal form of behaviour. Unlike psychoses, in neuroses the personality of human being became highly dominant which results in extremeness in like & dislikes. Both of these forms of behavioral disorder are marked by deviation not from the norms of the society but aloofness from one's inner-self. [109 WORDS] Hey u work hard plzzz....U need a lot of practice, i would recommend u to practice a precis daily.....U have Tenses mistakes and try to be bit formal rather being fluent.... likes and dislikes y u used so one after another Ur 1st sentence is wrong grammatically Try again n again, u ll i.a come to the point

@Kamran
Your precis: "Poor Social Services in Pakistan The Social services in Pakistan is getting worsen day by day. People are denied their basic human needs of health and education. The corruption and bad governance in govt.departments is on rise, and thus adding fuel to fire. Though, the govt. is engulfed with political instability but this does not free the govt.from the responsibilities. There are some positive indicators on economic side but problem lies with the policy-making and its effective implementation. The govt. is not lacking of financial resources rather lacking in strong will to counter these problems. This severe situation may likely to continue unless parliamentarians show seriousness to resolve these issues.(total 105 words)" Some observations: 1. The passage talks about the bitter level of social services (a stock concept). It doesn't say that these services are getting worse day by day (a flow concept). Don't mix two states i.e. stock and flow. 2. Try to write full, for example the word "govt." should be replaced by government. Mind you it creates a negative impression. 3. You said "The govt. is not lacking of(in) financial resources rather lacking in strong will to counter these problems." Firstly, It is not grammatically correct. Secondly passage means, it is not all about lacking in the financial resources, but problem lies with the government's inability to utilize those scarce financial resources properly. It doesnt say that government has all the necessary financial resources. Regards |

seniors kindly check
Paragraph
Along with the new revelations of science and psychology there have also occurred distortions of what is being discovered. -Most of the scientists and psychologists have accepted Darwin’s theory of evolution and his observations on “survival of the fittest” as a final word. While enunciating his-postulate on the concept of the fittest, Darwin primarily projected physical force as the main criterion, and remained unmindful of the culture of mind, The psychologist, on the other hand, in his exclusive involvement with the psyche, has overlooked the potential of man’s physical-self and the world outside him. No synthesis has been attempted between the two with the obvious result of the one being sacrificed at the altar of the other. This has given birth to a civilisation which is wholly based on economic considerations, transforming man into a mere “economic being” and limiting, his pleasures and sorrows to sensuous cravings. With the force of his craft and guns, this man of the modern world gave birth to two cannibalistic philosophies, the cunning capitalism and the callous communism. They joined hands to block the evolution of man as a cultural entity, denuding him of the feelings of love, sympathy, and humanness. Technologically, man is immensely powerful; culturally, he is the creature ‘of stoneage, as lustful as ever, and equally ignorant of his destiny. The two world wars and the resultant attitudes display harrowing distortion of the purposes of life and power. In this agonizing situation the Scientist is harnessing forces of nature, placing them at the feet of his country’s leaders, to be used against people in other parts of the world. This state of his servility makes the functions of the scientist appear merely to push humanity to a state of perpetual fear, and lead man to the inevitable destruction as a species with his own inventions and achievements. This irrational situation raises many questions. They concern the role of a scientist, the function of religion, the conduct of politician who is directing the course 5f history, and the future role of man as a species. There is an obvious mutilation of the purpose of creation, and the relationship .between Cosmos, Life, and Man is hidden from eyes; they have not been viewed collectively. Dark Sides of Human Advancement The human society has bitterly failed in bringing any harmony between science and psychology. This disharmony has made the world to go after the economic gains. It has paved the way for exploitative and unnatural systems which breeds on human blood and greed. The resources are being poured into the war and all new innovations have been serving the hegemonic designs of the world states. Consequently, a degenerated human society is emerging, having neither any noble cause nor moral standards. Therefore, all the human advancement is unable to cultivate purposefulness, love and peace, however, it has caused division in the society and the lack of collective vision. |

This is my first attempt to write precise while preparing for CSS. kindly comment on it so i can get some guidance
MAKE A PRÉCIS OF THE FOLLOWING PASSAGE IN ABOUT ONE THIRD OF ITS LENGTH . We should face facts as they exist.We are multilingual,it is true,and a very poor country too.The fear of getting employment or not getting employment springs, out of that poverty of ours.But once we took courage in both our hands and began to work,poverty would vanish,and then those languages which have created a narrow regional spirit instead of being the curse tht they seem to us today,would function as magnificent vehicles of expression for the rich variety of cultural patterns and modes of living and thought that we have developed.Let us hope that day dawns very soon.A regional langugage as the medium of instruction can facilitate the process of education.It helps the child to learn with ease and interest.But if it is thrust on an unwilling minority used to another allied language. it can vitiate the very process of education.It is supposed to help and would create difficulties of a socio-political nature. Precis Two facts of multi linguisity and poverty must be faced among which poverty raises insecurity of employment, but once taken care of by strong will, multi linguisity will become tool for cultural representation and facilitate education if not forced against peoples will. |

Waqar:
Where is precise title? Some suggested titles: 1) Regional language as the medium of instructions and its fruits 2)Sense of insecurity has prevented us from adopting regional language as medium of instruction. 3) A regional language as the medium of instruction can facilitate the process of education 4) A strong will is needed to adopt regional language as the medium of instruction. |

This disharmony(Use smthng elz, redundant approach) has made the world to go after the economic gains(what sort of eco gains). It has paved the way for exploitative and unnatural systems which breeds on human blood and greed(This is extremely acrimonious lang used, avoid it, dont be that harsh). The resources are being poured into the war and all new innovations have been serving the hegemonic designs of the world states(Good). Consequently, a degenerated human society is emerging, having neither any noble cause nor moral standards. Therefore, all the human advancement is unable to cultivate purposefulness, love and peace, however, it has caused division in the society and the lack of collective vision.(Deteriorating from the concept) Neg Points: You must have described a bit role of scientists and psychologists Human advancement is a macro word, Infact, in the paragraph he has not been discussing it that macro. You have avioded few of issues and criticised more. Good Points: Used good grammer Sentence structure is also healthy eXPRESSION IS ALSO QUITE APPEALING Regards
